There are heartbreaks that are just plain ugly. There is no going around them. They are all teeth and sharp claws. That’s how it is when you love with so much intention, so much hope. This kind of pain we get just once in our lives. One that stays broken for a very long time. Everyone else will not understand it. Sometimes even you won’t. You don’t have to. The only thing you can do is ride it out. Let it bite. Let it stay open. The worst wounds take a lot of healing. But you will, heal. Maybe not today and not as early as tomorrow. But one step at a time. You are strong. You are made to withstand no less. So it’s alright, today you just have to be human first.

I never really understood why kissing was such a big deal. But then you kissed me. And oh boy, I never wanted to stop. Feeling the sparks through my entire body, that feeling was surreal. I could do that for days and days on end. You tasted so good, kissing you was one of the most addictive things I’ve ever done. But now you aren’t here to kiss me. You’ve got me wishing that we’d never kissed.

Today, I learned an important lesson from my therapist.

Cheer up, sweet beautiful girl. You are going to be in love again, and it will be magnificent.

i don’t know who needs to hear this but you don’t deserve to be sad about someone who doesn’t care about you anymore. you don’t deserve to be the only one hurting and the only one left who still cares. you deserve so much more than waiting for someone who may or may not come back to you. you deserve to be happy, to heal, to leave the past behind you and move on. you are too full of life to spend yours waiting on someone who left you.

I wish I would’ve met you a long time ago. I wish you could have been my first everything but all my heartache and turmoil prepared my heart to love you in the tender way that I do. I treasure you.
