Three years of Ink and Blood!

I can’t believe it’s been already three years since I started posting the series - or well, actually I do: a lot of things have changed in my real life since then and writing and posting the series was, at times, more like a curse than a pleasant hobby so I cannot say I did not feel the years.

So it does feel like it was ages ago: I was at a different stage in my life back then, already with limited free time but nowhere close to the professional responsibilities and pressure I have now, so I could never imagine starting a gargantuan writing project like that one today, or writing at all. I’m happy I did it back then when the idea came to me and I somehow found the courage to post it and ignore whatever the fandom may think of my headcanons and interpretations (or of the writing of a non-native speaker)

If you have read chapter 9 you have already encountered some of them, and since it was in a canon scene, here are their names associated to their faces

Here, the oldest Queen is Melyn, second Light of Meridian and daughter of Leryn, first Light of Meridian. Leryn is not what the legend made her become, and Melyn became estranged to her rather mean mother.

Ariane is the fourth Light of Meridian - Melyn’s granddaughter. She also grew apart from her mother Elys.

Ilera, tenth Light of Meridian, is Deulara’s mother and Weira’s grandmother. She’s kind and just, much unlike her daughter Deulara, eleventh Light of Meridian, who has a very salty opinion on everything and never really cared about the wellbeing of the planet.
