playing with washi tape this past weekend. i had so many ideas for this piece but ended up working exclusively with my new tapes. it was so much fun adding these little details and i can't wait to share the finished piece! ✌🏻

still not finding the time to work on art lately, but i did manage to finish this piece in photoshop the other day after having scanned it a little while ago. 😉 this little cutie approves! 😻

i am setting myself up in a new art space in my house over the next few weeks, so i'll have a dedicated space to work on more ink pieces 🙌🏻

here's another abstract nail polish piece on a bigger canvas (8x10). i actually really like the negative white space even though it wasn't intentional. the nail polish dries so quickly, that working on a smaller scale is a bit easier. definitely some cool effects in this one!

2011 vs 2021 when i first drew this, i barely knew how to retouch in photoshop and wasn't really into mixing digital and traditional techniques. i think it's once i finally started adding watercolour digital backgrounds to my fashion illustrations and seeing how much it added to my simple pieces that i really discovered my current style.

i bought this new marbled/psychedelic paper the other day and wanted to use some of the patterns in my work, so here is the first piece i created. working on finishing up the final details! happy saturday! ✌🏻

as you've probably seen from recent stories, my current obsession is making these little marbled pieces with nail polish. i am still practicing a lot, as it's a tough medium to work with (the nail polish dries so quickly once it hits the water) but even the ones that don't really turn out as planned still look pretty good! i will probably start selling these soon!

throwback to last year at this time when i was working on some botanical watercolour pieces, dreaming of the upcoming spring weather. 🌿 we still have a few months to go, but it's such a joy to leave work these days and it's still somewhat bright out! 🌅

continuing to experiment with sticker making by adding gold leaf this time. i absolutely love the effect - what about you? 💎 when i have a bit more free time, i'm thinking of eventually selling little sets of stickers, or opening custom requests. would you be interested?

the weekend flew by and i unfortunately didn't find time to work on any new ink pieces (other ideas came to me and i felt like working on different projects). here's a piece i had made in the summer when i was experimenting with custom shapes, c/o my cricut machine. 😊 love how this blue and grey blended!

i only found the time to make one christmas themed piece last year, so i was really happy to have been able to create a few different ones this year. this digital drawing was made in adobe photoshop and fresco, then printed out on premium paper. hope you like it! 🎄🎁

happy halloween! 🎃 i used a different colour palette than usual for a more fall vibe but had to make at least one in pink. these little pumpkins are made with alcohol ink on black and white nara papers. it's raining here today, so hopefully it stops in time for the trick or treaters 🍭🍬🍫

today's project was another big one - alcohol ink on 26x40 paper 🤯 my new snow cap and shell pink inks arrived this week so i was able to make pastel hues for the custom piece i'm making for my living room. stay tuned! for now, here's a quick look at part of the piece and the tools/mess when it comes to working with inks 🙃 reminder to always wear a respirator when working with alcohol inks - especially on huge pieces like this. open windows too if you can! happy saturday everyone!

the realities of living with my cats. both of them are quite affectionate (especially him) and i don't let them outdoors, so they spend a lot of time with me 🥰 i keep them away when i'm working on client orders or with certain more harmful mediums, but otherwise, i welcome their company, especially when i'm setting up to take photos of my work! 😻 as i wrote this caption, my female cat jumped up onto my desk 🙈

this week's revamp is a drawing from 2007 that i used to be obsessed with. i decided it was worth revisiting, so here's my final updated version (of course with a bit more pink 🌸)!

check out this new alcohol ink cardstock i bought recently. it's silver glitter paper made specifically for inks and it's so much fun! i love the additional glimmer/sparkle it adds. ✨ what do you think?
