hi it's epiphany monday :) the gnawing frustration that is the undercurrent of every single thought I have about myself and my life is so twisting and raging and ever present because it's telling me that I'm ready to let this go and move on. The things that happened will have always happened exactly the way they did. Thinking about it forever will not change what happened, it will not reveal a secret divine reason for my suffering, it will not eventually result in an off-switch style ending to my continued internal torment. It will in fact just continue to consume more and more of my life until I've spent the entirety of it thinking about things that happened decades ago at the hands of people who are dead now. And I will be no better for it. The more I give in the more it'll rob from me. I know what happened, I know how it affected me. It was real and it was wrong. That's enough. I can walk away.
