LOL. besides that i do want to be able to give you a insightful answer but i never feel super qualified to talk colour in particular since most of it is vibes-based throwing stuff at the wall until it looks good enough to my personal taste, so i guess the actual if boring answer is just "i go with my gut" but i have a few general things that i do though it might be poorly explained i like to color pick from what i've already put down to reuse because i feel like it makes it more cohesive, beatrice in that video has probably like less than 10 colors. really i just like to use whatever i think looks nice together. i end up with a lot of hues most of the time because my mindset is essentially oh i love blue and green together -> i love green and pink together -> i love pink and yellow and so on. so i'm pretty drawn to saturated and colorful stuff but desaturated colours and greys are really good as transitions and making your brighter ones pop more
