The professor paced the front of the room, holding up Gojo's essay like it was Exhibit A in some trial. “This,” the professor began, “is a prime example of how not to structure an argument.”

All heads turned to Gojo, who was sprawled out in his chair, completely unfazed. He shrugged, “Guess I’ll aim lower next time.”

The class all laughed but the professor wasn't amused, “If only you’d apply even half the effort you put into being a comedian, Gojo, you might actually excel.”

No one else noticed but Gojo didn't find this funny too, he was mad at the professor.

"Five minutes," you mutter, scrolling through your messages to see if he sent anything. Nothing. Just as you're about to give up and text him, he comes running, "Hey!! Sorry, got held up!"

You turn to see him jogging up, "Held up where? At the vending machine?" you ask dryly.

"Wow, no faith in me," he says, catching his breath. "I was actually helping someone find a classroom. Really nice of me right?"

"More like conveniently late as always."

He shrugs. "Hey at least I'm here now."

You roll your eyes but follow him into the café, where he immediately takes over ordering for both of you.
