the fact that megatron turns into a gun and how it plays into this dynamic is fascinating. gunmode megatronis often dismissed he has to depend on someone to shoot him and carry him etc. and here that just sorta feeds into his charisma/manipulation? i actually REALLY enjoy this exploration of that. like, i dont think its that NEW but it feels more...dangerous(?) here? idk that dangerous is the word i'm looking for but w/e. close enough lmao

it also recontextualizes the relationship we saw b/t starscream and megatron before. like in the beginning of skybound it could be assumed it was starscream wanting power as per most status quos, but this adds a little more, esp regarding his desire to be in control (obv by his ending monologue lol, but still). i do like to see a toxic ass doubled down cycle of violence in media.
