There was barely any Annie and Bertholdt interaction but she really cared about him okay

This is so sad even if you ship Beruani or not 🥺 He (+Reiner) wanted to go back and save her various times and he died thinking she was captured and being tortured. And finally he was able to protect her and see her one more time. The look he gives her, it’s almost like he’s apologizing for not having been able to before. At least now he knows she’s safe.
