Zavien and you are both rising actors in the Disney franchise, and we know ALL actors have something going on behind the cameras.

You secured a role in the newest Disney project, it was another movie. It was so fun being involved with the Disney stars. Since most people were intertwined in the franchise you’d met Zavien Garrett.

You met before the descendants premiere, there was a new cast mixer! It was to get everyone acquainted before publicity. And it was very fun.

You met Liamani, Demi Lavato, which you posted on your socials immediately

You met some of the camp rock cast, some of the descendants cast, which you heard Boo Boo Stewart would be at the real premiere. Oooh! You spoke to Leah Sava Jeffries, it was basically a total fan girl night for you.

Except you were an actor too, it was so exciting! You ran into Zavien Garrett while getting up from your seat, you didn’t literally run into him, but your hair snagged on the chair. And he helped you get it unstuck since he was close behind you.

“Thank you so much!” You said, embarrassed as you tried to fix your hair. “What’s your name?” You asked, trying to get the attention off the small knot in your hair. “Zavien, what’s yours?”

And from there you guys were friends. You texted a lot, you followed each other on all socials, he actually even knew who you were before, but he asked for your name because he didn’t want to come off too strong.

At the descendants premiere you guys had a conversation, continuing an earlier one. Which was nice. You guys got a LOT of ship edits. Especially because in interviews sometimes you guys would bring each other up.

Based in season one, you are sad after the telepathic exercise that happened in episode 16. Takes place in ep 17, disordered. OC superhero name is Caligo, powers are umbrakenesis. You can control dark matter, morph it, disappear into it, after the exercise you are confused with your powers.

Everyone was off put by the psychologist exercise. Even the day after, which is why Black Canary had a meeting with each member of the team one by one throughout the day.

“We don’t have to discuss it if you’re uncomfortable, but you had an extreme reaction to Kaldurn and Artemis dying. Even Wolf. Marshin Manhunter said you had the most severe reaction to Wolf, which was surprising because even Conner had a tame reaction.” Black Canary furrowed her brows.

“What else did he say?” You asked “I want to know what you are going to say. I know you are usually aloof, I always thought it was ironic because you don’t have a secret identity or wear a mask.” She smiled, trying to lighten the mood.

“I say that it is Conner’s turn. You should ask him why he didn’t have a severe reaction to Wolf dying.” You shrugged “You all knew it was a scenario, M’gann hadn’t affected you guys till Artemis died.” She reminded you, it was dark outside because you were on of the last team members she addressed.

You gave her a blank stare.

“Okay, if you don’t want to do this, that’s fine. I understand, less than I want to, but if you change your mind I’ll be here.” She dismissed you, you rushed out.

Ever since the fail exercise, it’s like something in you snapped on multiple terms.

You could feel, the energy you used. You thought you could use it in more ways. But you couldn’t test that in front of people. And you felt alone, all the new possibilities, and you were too sad to try.

“Hey, Caligo.” Robin smiled, he was sitting on the couch, looking up stuff on his laptop. Dick Grayson knew your name, he was a detective after all, but your identity wasn’t a secret like his. He was never going to call you by your real name unless you told him to. “Hi” you said as you got water from the kitchen.

“Did Canary help you out? She helped me say stuff I never said out loud. I don’t think I have the guts to repeat it though.” He asked subconsciously trying to keep the conversation active as he looked up intel.

“No, I don’t a therapy session.” You put your glass down, it smelt like M’gann had baked something. And it looked like Wally made a mess in the kitchen eating that something. “You know how you feel, that’s enough” Dick tried to not oppose you, what you said did catch his attention though.

“Don’t validate me when you don’t mean it.” You were offended by his tone “I mean it. The multitasking is taking away my genuineness.” Dick laughed and shut his computer.

“If you don’t want to open up to Canary, you can always open up to me. I’m wide open.” He smirked “I’ve never seen your eyes.” You pointed out

“You know what Marshin Manhunter said?” Dick joined you in the kitchen. “I had the highest panic rate even before M’gann—“

“He said you unlocked something new about your little gift. The league is terrified of you, they’ve always been but definitely after this exercise they’re going to have a meeting about you.” He giggled to himself, his maniac laugh slipping out.

“I didn’t know that” you looked down “I wasn’t supposed to either, but I figured you should know.” He adjusted his sunglasses. “When we all woke up, I realized I was really afraid of being alone. I have always valued being alone, I’ve been fine with isolation. But when it was clear we were all safe I realized I’ve never actually had a romance.” You admitted

“Oh..” Dick didn’t have a smart response to that “Wally has Artemis, Conner and M’gann are all cute, and you have that thing with Zatanna. Everybody’s falling in love and I’m falling behind.” You added

“You aren’t falling behind, you are one of the most powerful members we have, maybe the most..now.” He smirked “Should power matter? Everyone is falling in love but me. When you were sacrificing everyone I realized, you could’ve sacrificed me. I don’t have family, or a lover, or anyone. I should’ve been the first to go”

You volunteer at a haunted house, and scare the life out of your boyfriend as a Halloween prank.

You were a BIG Halloween fan, people got annoyed when Halloween decorations were up after thanksgiving, you considered Halloween a thing the moment summer ended. You had the perfect costume idea by New Year’s usually.

For you it was multiple costumes, however your star costume was the costume you wore on the day. But you attended enough Halloween events to have to have multiple costumes.

“YOU DON’T KNOW WHAT HALLOWEEN IS?” You practically screamed at Max when you were both walking out of class. You heard a couple snicker behind you, but whatever. “What do you mean you don’t know what Halloween is! It’s thee best holiday! Forget thanksgiving, nobody cares about a genocidal holiday orienting bland Turkey and green beans.”

“What’s that..” Max asked again, he was starting to get embarrassed. This boy was a genius, he had an IQ of 159 and he was great at a lot of things, but due to his unusual upbringing he never really understood holidays. “I get, getting days off of school! But I just thought those were for stretching your legs and exercising your autonomy.” He tried to justify is question.

“Max, you are going to have a great Halloween, I’ll make sure of it.” You smiled and gave his hat a little tilt. “Yea. Thanks, but again, what is Halloween?” He adjusted his hat, checking to see if the origami heart was still on it.

“The reason everyone loves Autum!” You smiled as you walked off, “I really love it when you’re ambiguous!” Max called after you. He tried not to think about it after, and he didn’t because he got wrapped up in fixing his robotic squirrel.

This past week leading up to the special day was helping out a trunk or treat, helping set up a Halloween bash, then attending the Halloween bash. And honestly you were saving the special day for Max’s introduction to Halloween. You’d scare him out of consideration!

You were ready for your final Halloween duty. It was THE day, you volunteered as an alternating scare actor. You were in the horror house, the final room. Before you there would be a drowned boy, manic with a chainsaw, there was a screwed up looking nurse, tons of horrors.

You were a clown. With LOTS of fake blood on, your job was to scream at everyone who was about to leave. Your room looked like an abandoned murder house circus, kinda like if a psycho owned a circus and went on a spree. You were supposed to laugh loudly before people entered, then scream once they did.

The horror house used to have an actor chase someone out but too many people ended up falling so they changed it this year, honestly it was a pretty harmless room, the other rooms were a little more high tense.

You texted him towards the end of your shift so you could scare him then head out and enjoy the festival with him.

OH MAXXX wanna go to the Halloween festival with me?!

Max was considering asking what a haunted house’s purpose was, but he knew you wouldn’t actually explain, so he just hearted your message.

Max wasn’t sure if you meant in the line, or inside. “She probably meant inside, it is a house.” He mumbled to himself. When it was his turn to enter he did, and it was not what he was expecting.

He assumed it was maybe a decorated house, or something less scary, he thought it was called a haunted house for harmless Halloween alliteration, something funish, Halloween was apparently fun.

First he got chased by a doll, then scared by a nurse who was trying to give him a shot, a drowned boy who started to grab him, and then when he finally thought it was the last room he saw you.

You were fake chained to one of those twirling knife throwing boards, with a fake knife in your lower abdomen accompanied by a big blood stain. You were screaming like you were in true pain. And Max had just seen a lot of things, he was just chased and touched and scared by a lot of things.

But seeing his girlfriend, stabbed, and bloody, and screaming is what made him fall down to the floor. He stared at your for a second, holding a shocked look on his face. Then he get up and ran out as fast as he could. It might’ve been the scream in general, nobody had screamed at him yet and he was startled by large sounds.

You started to laugh, you checked your watch, and got down from your post. You stayed a couple minutes later than you needed to! You stepped outside and saw Max, against the wall.

“Max, are you okay?” You asked as you stepped closer, his chest was heaving. And you felt horrible. You thought it was a slight scare, you didn’t think it would bring out a terrified and traumatized boy.

“Yea” he lied as he looked over you, and you took the fake knife out and threw it in the trash. “Well..did you like it?” You questioned, nervously. “No” shook his head.

You felt horrible, you started to revaluate, and it wasn’t scary to you because you loved Halloween and all its horror. You’d never even seen Max’s reaction to a real horror movie, but he seemed disturbed even with sci-fi.

Maybe the sight of everything, and your room was a lot. The lights were flashing and you looked like a stab victim and it probably really stressed him out. This must be how dogs on the Fourth of July felt.

“Here—“ you said as you grabbed his wrist, transporting you both to your dorm. It caused a light flinch, which made you feel worse. “Sorry, Max, I am so sorry. I thought you’d enjoy being scared.” You explained

“Who likes being scared!” He replied, and that did make you realize, he wouldn’t have like being scared. What was I thinking? You thought you yourself, guilty. It was always worse when Max was emotional, because he never raised his voice, he never even got mad at you either. He usually put emphasis on his words rather than yelling, and he never blamed you because he felt that would be wrong.

“Sorry, can you change out of that. It’s nice, and I kinda have always pictured you being a jester or a clown in some ways, but—“

“Give me 10 minutes!” You said as you blinked yourself to the restroom. You removed your makeup and body paint in the shower, then changed into less bloody clothes.

Max seemed to have calmed down a lot by then, and seeing you, looking like you relaxed him a lot. “Thank you” he said timidly, he felt like a wuss, you felt like a jerk. You had been in a lot of situations with Max, but you had no idea how to fix this. “I should go” Max felt embarrassed “Don’t!” You panicked

“We can still Halloween!” You really were panicked “I don’t think it like very much” Max said gently. “No— you will. Okay, so Halloween is actually super fun. It’s like getting candy, and there’s the horror aspect, but there’s also the relaxed, after horror aspect!” You went to reach his hand, and he didn’t flinch this time, which was good.

“There’s kid Halloween movies, and they’re fun and comforting and the perfect amount of spooky. And you eat candy with your loved ones while you watch them” you lead him away from the door.

“Take your coat off, you’re staying here” you ordered as you fetched leftover candy from your previous events this week. “Okay, now take your hat off.” You added as you got your computer. “You would love playing Simon says.” Max took his hat off “very assertive”

“I do like playing Simon says” you nodded “okay, do you know Charlie Brown, or hocus pocus?” You asked. You guys spent the rest of the night watching Halloween movies, and showing Max candies.

You always had to remind yourself Max grew up without most of the luxuries you had, and you made in your mission to show him your opulences. But after today, definitely in a more gentle way.

Max liked chocolates, his favorite was probably marshmallow peanut butter cups. He enjoyed sour candy the most. He didn’t hate dot’s which shocked you, they were like licorice but much more disgusting. And you were revolted when he actually liked candy corn. “You’re disgusting.” You joked

Max liked the movies, he really liked the candy, you guys didn’t have pumpkins on hand, but you had two apples, so you carved apples instead, which was surprisingly very easier and dare you deem..even funner than pumpkins?

“So, what was your favorite park?” You asked Max happily, you were cuddling now, and watched Halloweentown. “This” Max sighed softly “Cuddling can’t be your favorite Halloween activity, it’s a year round thing, what’s your favorite festivity!”

“I liked it all, but I liked carving apples the most. And I really like candy corn. And my favorite movie so far is Monster house, it was funny.” He smiled agaisnt you

You joined the group in their quest to Wonderland, and immediately end up getting kidnapped by Maddox..

You spent most mornings with your boyfriend, you’d meet in the quad, and eat with all of your friends.

It was the first day back since summer break, and you were very excited.

Once you were finished eating Max would usually do his hat tricks, and the rest of you would pick pocket people. And they say romance is dead.

“Here count this.” Max proudly handed his earnings to the Smees. “They can’t count!” Hazel snapped, causing Felix to snicker. “Hey, Robbie hood! For Sherwood’s collection box.” Max passed Robbie a coin.

Luis was annoyed “Drop the act, Max. Nobody’s buying it. No matter how hard you pretend to not be your father.” That definitely struck a nerve, “Max isn’t his father, he’s not as cruel as Maddox. Just like how you aren’t as strong as your mom, no matter how hard you pretend you are, you aren’t.” You said with a seemingly kind tone.

“Maddox is his father?” Red asked, once she heard you said he was apparently cruel. “Well what’s wrong with his father?” Red seemed concerned “He’s the number one villain in all of Auradon.” Luis scoffed

“Well, at least I’m not a cheap knock off, ‘casita’ couldn’t give you a new gift?” Max smiled as he tilted his head. “Do they feed you more than hay up on that mountain, Madrigal?” Max challenged.

“Sal de aquí” Luis glared, “I know you’re not dissing my crew.” Hazel came forward. “We may be back in school, but you are not going to like the lesson the Smees and I will teach you.” She added

“Allow me Hazel, might I suggest a Facilier family specialty?” Felix stepped forward showing off his cards with a smile. But then a card came flying through a glass window. It landed right in Red’s hands.

“What is it, Red?” Chloe questioned as Red looked terrified at the card.”Maddox Hatter has captured the Queen, come quickly!” The card spoke. “Thank you!” Felix took the card. You guys passed it around. When Max had it and Chloe ordered it back, he gave it back.

“Oh my hearts, oh my hearts!” Pink passed out, Robbie and Luis caught her. It wasn’t long before the HK’s ran off. “What’s wrong?” You asked Max

“Kidnapping the queen?” Max said to himself in disbelief. “Well at least you’re here, and he’s in wonderland.” Hazel pointed out. “No one can blame you” Felix assured. “Except they do” Max shook his head, and he was right, they did.

“I’m tied to him, it doesn’t matter where I am. I wish there was a way I could change that” Max looked down “stop complaining and do something about it.” Hazel ordered.

“You’re right, you’re so right.” He gave her a pat pm the back. Max appreciated all love, your love, tough love, whatever love he could get. Hazel mainly gave tough love, which always made you giggle.

“Of course I’m right.” Hazel rolled her eyes “okay, let’s go to rabbit hole!” Max grabbed your hand excitedly. “Wait I didn’t mean, right now! We haven’t even made it to lunch yet!” Hazel opposed. But it was no use, Max’s mind was set.

The HK’s were blocking the entrance, Chloe and Red. Who were joined by Pink, Robbie, and Luis. The same showdown only a few minutes later. “We’re going to Wonderland apparently, so if you could move, that would be appreciated.” Hazel tried to sound polite at first.

“I don’t think so, our interests don’t exactly align.” Chloe glared, “you need someone who can beat my father as his own game. I know how to do that” Max was trying to upsell himself, he didn’t quite know how to, but he’d be the best lead.

“You’d sell out your dad? It’s not so easy.” Red raised her brows. “Well, good news princess! Not much of my life has been easy, I have my dad to thank for that. But I’m not him. And I never want to be.” Max made clear.

“Looks like our interests align, are we good now?” You groaned. Chloe and Red looked to each other then nodded. “Then let’s get going.” Hazel did a shooing hand motion. “We’ll just, jump..down the hatch.” They looked nervous.

“Max and I know how to do this, if you’d step aside..” you mumbled you and Max walked to the rabbit hole and jumped with ease as you held hands. Soon, everyone was in wonderland.

Pink started greeting the butterflies, Hazel looked grossed out, the Smees looked appetized bt the butterflies, and Felix started looking at the shrub flamingos.

“Wow, look at Felix!” Max mocked, “Who knew the Facilier’s were such bird lovers” you laughed. But it wasn’t. The flamingos came to life and started chasing everyone, “you just had to kiss it!” Max yelled at Felix

You ran away quickly, it seemed the most logical to hide, but everyone else was running in circles. You were going to go back for the sake of the group and for Max. But you felt a giant mechanical bird grab you, and it started to fly you to the palace.

Some people are confused as to how you and Max were dating, and how it was a happy and healthy relationship. But Max’s friends were even more shocked with how he treated you.

It started with a light sprinkle, everyone was excited. You were neutral, rain sometimes made school annoying. Everyone splashing puddles. By 2nd period it turned to actual rain.

“You like rain?” Max asked as you opened your locker. You had photos of your family in your locker, your schedule, and lots of books. A couple on the ancient development of Kung Fu, a bit of Geography books, lots of history books.

“Not really, Lonnie does, though.” You wished you could enjoy the rain. “Well I know you dislike natural disasters—“ Max allowed you to stack the books you needed in his arms. “They’re my biggest fear. Hurricanes, earthquakes, tornados. So much damage. My great grandmother traumatized me by telling me about river floods in Nanjing. And those were just floods!” You shivered at the thought.

“I thought the rain was nice..maybe science will find a way to prevent and control natural disasters. We already pollinate clouds to control when it rains.” Max tried to relax you. “We can’t tamper with Mother Nature, only prepare.” You said sternly and shut your locker.

By 4th period it was heavy rain, “Can the rain let up?” One of your classmates groaned, they were worried about their hair. A lot of Auradon kids spent the day out of the corridor and inside.

When the school day ended and it was free time some kids stayed in and some went to splash around.

“Why don’t we head to the library, we can check out their new shipment of books, get a snack, whatever sounds good to you.” He offered happily. You didn’t have a kick boxing class today, nothing the fencing team needed, you didn’t feel like going for a run or lifting anything. The library did sound calm.

“Okay” you nodded with a small smile. Maybe this was why people liked the rain, romanticizing rain, how fun.

You guys started with a snack, because you were more hungry for food than knowledge at the moment. “Max!” The Smees yelled across from the library, they were still in the book portion of the building.

Once his friends reached him they were bombarding him with questions. “Why are you at the library?” Hazel raised a brow. “You do know it’s for reading right?” Felix added on.

“Yea, it’s also for peace a quiet so if you guys could keep it down” he had that condescending/teasing tone he’d never dare to use with you.

“You can get him to read?” Hazel asked you looking shocked “I usually read.” He groaned quietly “Hello to you too, Hazel.” You smiled

Hazel and you were sorta friends, she always got shocked with the way Max was in a relationship, but she was very kind to you, not to Max though. “We’re going to look at the new topics they added” you invited Max’s friends

“Sounds..fun” Hazel tried to not sound disinterested. They weren’t really readers, no shock there. They tagged along, picking up books, trying to hold some sort of interest.

The rain had picked up over the past couple of hours, it was a mini tropical storm. The first strike of lightning startled you already. You tried to brush it off but by the second one, you needed to get out of there.

You began to head for the door, but the librarian locked it. Over the intercom of the library it was announced that nobody in Auradon prep was allowed to leave the building they were in. The weather was now bordering unsafe.

“Why is she freaking out so badly, I’ve never seen her so..” Squeaky started talking, his mouth left agape “panicky” Squirmy tried to finish his sentence. “She’s really afraid of a natural disaster” Max whispered “Is she aware it’s just some rain?” Felix questioned

“It’s a storm now, there’s nothing wrong with having fear” Max walked off to guide you to a seat. “It’s just a storm, nothing bad will happen.” Max said as you sat down.

“And what if something bad does happen?” You questioned as you looked outside “We’re inside, what could possibly happen?” Max replied

“A tree could fall down on this building or a window could break, this is a two story building so what if—“

“You said Lonnie likes the rain, what does she like about it.” Max interrupted “Well— uh..”

you thought back to when you were both kids. Your mom didn’t care for rain much either, it was raining the night she ‘let down’ her family.

“I like it because it reminds me of you, especially when I see really violent rain. It’s like it’s fighting to be heard, it reminds me of you, and mom. Not really dad. “She likes it because it reminds her of me, and I guess it reminds me of her because of it.” You said softly “that’s sweet, how could you be afraid of a storm if it reminds you of your sister.” Max said simply

“I guess..I’m not” you sighed “You’re a warrior, I’m a genius, maybe I’ll invent some technology not to prevent this but to prepare us for this.” Max shrugged off “That sounds pleasant.” You got up “We’re still in a library, so we can really only relax here till the storm clears.” You explained

Felix finds his dad to break the deal, while you try your best to follow him. You guys reunite and properly introduce him to your parents.

It was hard to track Felix, he was walking around campus tryinf his best to seem covert, he didn’t want anyone to know his distress.

When Lottie ran into him, she handed hi her travel mirror, which he thanked her and realized he did leave you back there. “Uh, thank you.” He nodded awkwardly

He was too frantic thinking about this deal. He went to his dorm and finally found his father. “I see you are practicing voodoo the proper way.” Dr Facilier sat on Felix’s bed and stared at his son’s alters.

“Nothing like your old man, huh?” Dr Facilier could’ve meant that in many ways, right now, Felix just kept it at the shrines for his own sake. “Where’s the talisman?” Felix got striaght to the point.

“This one, around my neck?” The man stood up. Felix looked down when he did so, his dad was still taller than him, it had been a while since he’d seen the lanky man. But even as a kid, Felix never really looked him in the eye.

“Yea, that’s mine” Felix reached for it, you were only hearing the conversation from Lottie’s travel mirror, if only you could see it. But Felix allowed no mirrors in his room due to belief they were portals for actual evil spirits.

“I don’t think so.” Dr Facilier slipped it to his hands. “You know, you never told me you got a little girlfriend. And when I got word it was ‘thee prince Naveen’s’ kid with Tiana. I just had to see this for myself.” He fiddled with the talisman

“Maybe because I don’t know— maybe I thought you’d try and use her to pay off your debts!” Felix spoke sarcastically. “Which is wrong! They’re yours! Not mine, or Nadine’, Naveen’s, Tiana’s. You need to pay them, and I thought you did. But clearly you didn’t.” Felix scoffed

“I know. It’s so odd, I kind of felt..bad?” The shadow man laughed “She made it very easy.” He added “Break the deal. Or I will.” Felix ordered

“I can’t, you know I can’t” He began to walk to the door “I’m sorry, Felix. I truly am.” He took his hat off for a second

“You can break it, and you know it! You need to break it.” The boy decided force wasn’t the way to win with his con man dad. Maybe he did have some feelings, or maybe even a soft spot for his son. “Dad, you owe me this.” He added softly

Dr Facilier took his hand off of the door knob. “This is all I owe you?” He questioned, Felix nodded violently. “Just this, that’s it.”

“You know what happens when I do this, right?” Dr Facilier sighed “yea..” Felix frowned “You won’t want to see this.” The shadow man put his hat back on and let the necklace dangle. “I want to see you break it.” Felix raised his brows

“I expect no less precautions from you.” Dr Facilier dropped the necklace. “Maybe one day, you’ll introduce me to Nadine properly.” Then shattered the talisman using his shoes.

Felix looked away after he saw that, he’d rather now see his father get forced into the underworld. The stories of it sounded terrifying enough. Felix even covered his ears, and when he looked back, the infamous shadow man did what he did best. He disappeared.

He went out in the hallway to run to the nearest full body mirror he knew, which you hopped out of. You had no idea what to say, niether did Felix, but you guys immediately hugged each other.

“Why did he do that?” You finally asked, though you guys still hadn’t broken the hug. Maybe he felt bad, or he gave me pity for once in his life, or he realized it was a terrible thing to do a regretted it the moment he made the deal. Felix’s mind ran through all the possibilities “I don’t know” he finally answered.

“You should probably give Lottie her mirror back.” He broke the hug and grabbed the mirror from his pocket. “You’re right, we should.” You didn’t take the mirror, you wanted him to give it back. And to see your parents again.

You headed down to the main area, locating Lottie, Charles, and your parents. “We’re here to return this.” Felix thanked Lottie. “Oh you’re back!” Lottie grabbed you after she checked the mirror looking for you.

“Yeah” you hugged her back happily. Then you looked to your parents, “And where were you?” Tiana sounded confused “That’s not important, what’s important is that you treat Felix with the same respect and consideration you’d treat anyone else.” You nodded

“Felix and I are going to get lunch, you guys are more than welcome to join us.” You were assertive but you were never disrespectful, your parents were used to it. Tiana more than Naveen, she was proud you were openly opinionated.

“Okay then” Tiana agreed, and Naveen looked relieved. You guys all went to lunch, talked, things went better than before. It was still a little tense, especially since Felix did do voodoo. But before leaving your parents told him he was invited to thanksgiving.

Summer wasn’t hard for you and Max, you were both in Wonderland, and your parents were friends. You spent 60% of summer together. Dinners together, going to the lake, watching movies. Some activities with your parents and some without.

You got into origami, Max was still obsessed with crafting, since he had access to a workshop now he was unstoppable. You made one of those origami hearts and stuck it on his hat, which he kept on. Then he made you an excellent piece of jewelry, “Oh so this is a competition?!” You said after you thanked him for the trinket.

You gave him a very detailed paper quilled portrait of a rainforest. Then he gave you another really nice piece of jewelry. Summer was the teen dream. Eating ice cream before bed, staying up late, whatever you guys wanted.

When summer came to an end and you were back at Auradon things were still good. Everything was BACJ to normal, this year you leaned into finding your own friends. Which worked well, you hung out with Alex, Alice’s son. Lila, Nani and David’s daughter. And that was it so far..yea, it was progress.

It was almost as good as summer till the night before Auradon family night. Your dad was allowed at Auradon, was he coming? No, he never had, and you preferred it that way. You didn’t want to have to share your dad or introduce him to anyone really.

However, Max had just found out his dad couldn’t come, even if Maddox wanted to. You were both in your dorm, you had the same dorm as last year and since you didn’t request to room with anyone, you were alone, again. So Max coming over was a regular thing.

He got an E-mail, from principal Uma. She was apologizing that she couldn’t validate Maddox’s visitor pass for tomorrow. “Why not?” You questioned, looking over Max’s expression as he read.

“She doesn’t want there to be discourse among the other parents or kids. She says she will try and see what she can do next year, but it’s too soon.” He shut the laptop, he wasn’t mad at Uma, he understood.

“Sometimes I still hate him” his eyebrows furrowed “I thought you guys fixed a lot of things over the summer” you lowered your voice and scooted closer to him. “Yea, and he’s great, he’s a nice dad now, and he’s everything I probably wanted. But now that I have it, it feels like I can’t enjoy it.”

“Do you know why?” You asked, you didn’t know if it was best to be quiet, or ask people questions about their emotions when they were talking about their familial issues.

“He could’ve— he should have been that father for me my whole life. And it’s not his fault, and I can’t blame him for the past, and I know it’s not right, but I just hate him sometimes because he wasn’t that father. And sometimes when we were bonding I just remembered he didn’t give me that childhood, I don’t know..”

You held his hand, “That’s okay, that’s normal. I think.” You felt really bad for him, but he was such a pretty crier.

“I feel like I’m a bad son because of it. But he doesn’t really feel like my dad yet, he like..maybe a cousin or an uncle, someone who you’re related to but you’re not immediate or close.” He added, the tears falling without a blink.

“And it’s so stupid that I’m crying over this because I have the dad that I wanted and he isn’t dead or something, I’m basically just being ungrateful, I’m acting like an HK or something.” He couldn’t look at anyone while he cried he always looked down or usually diagonally right.

“Don’t act like your feelings don’t matter, they matter, let yourself cry. And you have HK friends.” You reminded as you took your thumb to his cheek, wiping his tears. “I wish he that I could just spend a moment with him and forget about what he did— or didn’t do.” Max leaned into your touch.

He calmed down after that for the most part. “You will, just give it more time.” You smiled “I hope” he finally looked at you after saying that. “Why don’t we just sneak to Wonderland tomorrow? It’ll feel like another day of summer!” You suggested trying to make him more positive.

You are struggling with a curse Dr Facilier placed on you. While your parents are still at Auradon prep, you stay hidden and try to flag down Felix.

Waking up inside a mirror was probably someone’s dream, not yours though. You could see every mirror in Auradon, mirrors in dorms, mirrors in lockers, transportable mirrors.

You tried looking through them to find Felix. But most of them were being occupied by people fixing their hair, picking things out of their teeth, practicing their smiles.

God, could people be a little less conceited right now, this was your only way of flagging down Felix.

And you needed to! You noticed one familiar face that you could turn to.. “Lottie! Can you hear me?!” You screamed and tapped your end of the glass. “Oh my— magnolia’s in may! Nadine? How are you in my mirror?!”

Lottie was sitting down outside, reapplying her lipstick quickly, nobody was directly next to her but she was still in public eye, she kept he voice as hush as she could when she tried to swallow her shock.

“I can’t explain, don’t tell my parents, I need to find Felix! Can you bring me to Felix!” You yelled again,

“There is no reason to raise your voice, it’s at your regular volume, though you do sound a little foggy or distorted.” Lottie squinted into her mirror “I’d take you to Felix, but last I knew he ran to the restroom when your parents told him to leave. Are you okay, can you breathe?” She tapped the glass

“Yes, I’m going to the boys restroom— to find Felix. Remember, do not tell my parents, just tell them I am very angry with them and would like to be alone!” You shouted, then reminded yourself it wasn’t needed to raise your voice.

You jumped to the Men’s restroom mirror, then saw Felix. Splashing his face with some water, he’d probably been sad too. “FELIX”

He jumped, “Nadine?” He shook the water off to see clearly. “So you met my parents, I met your parent, we’re even. Though I think your father was a little too kind.” You spoke sarcastically, with faux calmness.

“You made a deal! Why would you make a deal?!” He panicked. “I didn’t!” You yelled, that was on purpose this time. “So you didn’t shake his hand, and you didn’t give him any of your DNA?” He questioned with a brow raise.

“I was crying on the floor, and he helped me up. He shook my hand when he did that, then he took my tear and placed it in—“ “A TALISMAN?” Felix looked like he was going to explode.

“Yes” you nodded shyly. “Did he give you a time limit, did he say how long you have?!” He knocked on the mirror, wondering what would happen if it broke. “I’m going to die!?” You shrieked

“NO” Felix put his hand up “I can fix this, I just need to find my dad” he sighed “What did you two agree upon?”

“Again, I didn’t agree to anything, I got forced into this. He-he said he’d help my parents accept us or whatever, and then he said in return I’d have to help him get close to you.” You nodded, everything happened so fast it was hard to remember.

“Well the 2nd part is a lie, he’s using you to pay off his debts, and I can fix this I just need to find him. And then bargain, I don’t know— I’ll figure it out though. Just trust me!” Felix said as he rushed out the door, you kept transferring through mirrors trying to help with something.

You had no idea how to though, you were basically useless being stuck in a mirror, after this you weren’t sure you were going to use another…

Author’s note, I want to start headcannons and I realized I’ve not written for the Smees. I just decided to clump in both because I’d ship them with a white rabbit reader? In which Max finds your diary, secretly begins reading it. Which you find out and decide to mess with him for invading your privacy.

Max didn’t want to invade your privacy. Really, his intentions were trying to get to know his girlfriend better. Maybe there were things you hadn’t gotten the chance to tell him or— Yea, I can’t justify doing this he sighed as he opened the book.

It started on a Saturday night. “I’m going to go shower, you pick a movie. My laptop should be on my bed, pick something sci-fi. Or by M. Night shyamalan, he’s really good.” You said as you picked out your PJs. “Got it.” Max smiled happily. He had been unusually happy since you guys started dating, at least that’s what Hazel said.

Once you were out of sight, he sat down on your bed, and lifted your sheets to search for your laptop. He lifted your pillow and found your journal.

He hesitated before picking it up, he began to bargain with himself before opening it, and he insulted himself before reading it.

Dear Diary,

I decided that I actually like school. Not the academics, still. I know I don’t struggle with them, and I am exceptional and English, but nobody likes school for the education. Though I do feel bad for those who don’t have education, I’m getting off track, my diary already knows my morals. Anyhow, I do have quite a bit of friends. Robbie’s friends are fine, Max’s friends too, when we’re all together it’s really fun. But of course I enjoy my alone time with Max. I REALLY enjoy it. Max is super smart. The useful sort of smart. Plus he’s totally hot, but I can’t let him know that because then he’ll get all annoying. Still have yet to see him shirtless. But, I did get to see his arms finally, the eyes are drinking up. Max rarely takes off his hat and coat unless we’re in a dorm for a sleepover or something. He says he feels naked without his hat and coat. I told him he is a wuss, I really need to stop negging him, I don’t ever want him to actually take a flirtatious insult seriously. He didn’t really get any affection growing up so I try to be extra sensitive around him. Also, I get to visit my dad this weekend, I’m going to beat him at chess finally. If I don’t, I’m burning this page.

“What movie did you pick?” You called out as you got closer. He shut your diary and put it back. “Uh— I was thinking we should each draw like an apple to determine which movie to pick. I was thinking..the sixth sense or signs.” He tried to sound anything but guilty.

“Why an apple. I mean sure, like Granny Smith or cosmic crisp? And you did go with shyamalan!” You said excitedly. He grabbed your laptop from your desk, who he as the opposite of where you told him it was.

Max Hatter has a horrible habit of snooping. He couldn’t stop. Every time you went to shower, stepped out to get food, had to pick up something from a friend, I’d you left him alone he was reading it.

And he started to take your entries as advice, thinking of date ideas, maybe gift ideas, usually things that would benefit or please you.

It was all going to well for Max, till you saw him reading it. On day you were really tired, so you decided to blink yourself back to your room. And once you saw Max reading your diary you blinked yourself out. You needed to mess with him, you wanted to make him panic and pay. So the next diary entry was just to scare him.

Dear Diary,

I’ve been fine recently. I got another A on my English paper, the prompt was creative work. I based one of my main characters off of Max. And while writing it, I realized, I don’t like Max. In fact, I hate Max. Max and his dumb hat, his stuoid puppy dog eyes, don’t get me started on how annoying he can be. He is my least favorite person, I’m considering breaking up, but I might as well break up with him since he has no good qualities. Wish me luck.

Once Max read that, he was fearing your arrival. “Hey Max, I need to talk to you!” You tried your best not to sound excited. “No you don’t!” He replied, his words mushing together as he hid your diary. “Let’s not talk, let’s go see a movie, or eat while playing the quiet game, or we can go to that antique shop that you really like!” He stood up, fixing his appearance.

“It’s really important” you walked in “super important, I want to—“

“Eat, you are really hungry. Okay silent game starts now and we can head to the cafeteria, there’s potatoes today, you like potatoes!” He put his hands on your shoulders.

“So considerate, but Max, we need to discuss you reading my diary.” You finally laughed, and he let out a relieved sigh. “Wait what?” He realized what you said, “how did you know? And I promise I didn’t mean to protrude on your privacy, but if there was a book with my inner thoughts you’d read it too.” He added

“I would, and I’d hold no shame. But I saw you last weekend, not very subtle. I knew it was weird how you were doing everything I wanted, which, keep doing that. It’s okay Max, it’s not like my diary has anything I wouldn’t tell you, but you should stop reading it. I mean, really? Obsessing over a girl, that’s not very heathy.” You teased as you lifted up your diary.

“I wasn’t obsessing” he reached for your diary, “No Max” you swiped his hand away, a couple days later you buried your diary, it was for the best, you found Max trying to casually look around your locker and dorm. Poor boy.

They get a little visit from dr facilier and things start to go bad like in the movie when Tiana and Naveen turn into frogs but instead he does something to Nadine to pay his debts to his friends on the other side

Author’s note, the best, or one of 10 Felix writers 😭 but in all seriousness thank you very much. DO I SENSE A SERIES?! I think this may be shorter than my first one because the request sounds like it’ll be 3-4 parts, but I am DOWN. And KEEP requesting, requests, comments, and feedback is one of my fav parts abt posting. Family day and Auradon has arrived, and Felix is a nervous wreck. Especially since you guys just started dating. Things don’t go perfectly between hi’n and your parents, but in the end, family day takes a turn for the worst.

Everyone was for family day at Auradon. But between you and Felix, it was mainly you, only you. Felix’s dad wasn’t allowed at Auradon, or anywhere but the isle..

You and Felix were walking outside, near the lake. It was a regular date, something you guys did often. At least once a week. “Would it be better if I told my parents about you before hand?” You thought out loud. “That sounds worse.” He laughed

“Do you ever miss your dad?” You had been wondering this since you met Felix. A lot of VKs hated their parents, but some looked up to them.

“He wasn’t horrible. He was more in Celia’s life than mine though. I was actually raised more by Captain Hook than my dad. Most of us were” he was referring to his friend group.

And it made sense, Hazel’s dad and probably the Smees had the best father’s. Well— Max’s dad was recently cleared. He was an ex-fake-villain? “Well how did he treat you?” You didn’t want to overstep, if Felix didn’t want to answer, he’d tell you.

“He missed out on a lot of my firsts, like learning to swim, which I still can’t really. It’s like a messed up doggy-paddle. Apparently my first words, which were ‘Dah’ I think I was trying to call for him, that’s what my mom said at least. Things like that. The only bond we ever properly shared was through voodoo.” He explained with a couple laughs between memories.

“That sounds..” you were trying to find the right word. “It’s fine. It wasn’t ever a big deal.” He insisted. “Clearly it is. Do you just not want to sound dramatic?” You questioned “No, but there are other times we could talk about this. There’s no point to it right now. It’s too nice outside.” He smiled

The next day it was family day. You started off the morning by feeding the ducks with Felix, he really was a bird lover.

And then you guys ate breakfast, around 11:00 was when families began to arrive! The day was so good, at least in your opinion. Your parents were going to meet your boyfriend!

You were in the quad with Felix. Looking around for your parents and Lottie, and once you found them you ran to them, and of course dragged Felix along too.

“Nadine!” Your dad greeted as he hugged you, “well don’t hog her!” Lottie hugged you immediately after. Your mom hugged you the gentlest of the three. “Oh, and who might this be!?” Lottie gestured to Felix. “This is Felix, he’s my boyfriend.” You nodded, “it’s nice to meet you all” Felix smiled.

“You look oddly familiar” Tiana’s gaze lingered. “Do I know you?” She tilted her head, Naveen’s did see some resemblance but he couldn’t quite put his finger anywhere either.

“Well, I am Dr Facilier’s son.” He can clean I’m doomed this is doomed he thought to himself. Naveen’s shook his head slowly, Lottie looked a little confused then caught on.

“Nadine, out of all people you could’ve—“ your mom was too mad to express how she felt. “Dr Facilier turned your dad— I was as turned into a frog too. And that’s no insult to you, but it’s best you leave us to talk this through.” She looked between you and Felix.

Maybe you were too positive. Felix forced a small smile then got lost, Lottie looked sympathetic, “I’ll go find Charles.” She excused herself. Your parents both gave you a stern look. “You need to break up. If things were different, maybe it would be okay. But you cannot trust a Facilier.” Your mom explained

“We’re sorry.” Your dad apologized “You guys didn’t even get to know him, how can you judge a kid based off their parent.” You said sadly, trying to hold back any sadness. “These kids get raised by their parents, who do you think taught them everything they know! And we raised you better than this. You can’t be foolish.” Tiana put a hand on her shoulder.

“I’m not being foolish.” You stepped back, “Does he do Voodoo?” Your dad asked, then you stormed off. You went to your dorm, then you could finally cry.

You closed the door behind you and sank down. You saw a shadowy figure step out from behind your blinds. “It’s so sad isn’t it.” It was transforming into some sort of a man. “What are..” you scooted yourself back to the wall.

“Dr Facilier, you’re all lovey dovey with my son.” He chuckled heartily. “I could help you two out.” He offered. “And how could you do that, no, why would you do that.” You looked up at him

“Because I need Felix to forgive me, I care deeply for him. Even if he doesn’t think so.” Dr Facilier nodded slowly “I could help your parents accept you two. And in return, you can help me stay in Felix’s life. Sounds good, no?” He offered. “I guess so, but why would I trust you?” You shook your head

“Well you trust Felix, you just have to trust me.” The man wiped your tears and put it in a talisman (his voodoo necklace). He helped you up and gave your hand a light shake while doing so. “Pleasure doing business” he nodded, that wasn’t quite business, you got forced into that but sure..

You and Max race to retrieve the watch and stop his dad! Once the journey is over, where does that leave you and Max?

Entering the grass labyrinth looked terrifying, it was constantly moving. “Hey, guys! We were waiting for you, are we going to get the oraculum?” Red and Chloe followed you. “Is this where your dad’s work shop is?” Chloe added onto Red’s statement. They spoke like they were hostage negotiators right now.

You guys weren’t pitted against each other, whay you and Max had in idea would help everyone, but Red and Chloe seemed to think the opposite. “No..we’re going to get the pocket watch, that you guys hid here.” You decided it was best to tell the truth. Red and Chloe exchanged a panicked glance.

“Look, it’s not what it seems like—“ Red looked to Max, Red and Chloe both shared the same shame on their faces. “Right, when you guys changed your lives, you didn’t consider how quickly you’d change someone else’s life.” Max was indignant, it’s not like everything he was saying was a lie.

“How quickly you changed my life. You ruined my chances at a normal life, the life that you have.” He look at Red. “Max, we never meant for that to happen.” Chloe chimed in “No, ‘Not princess, just Red’ right? You both knew what you did to me and you were going to let me suffer, and you wouldn’t even give me the courtesy of telling me my dad wasn’t mad.”

“Max there’s an opening.” You whispered. You both ran into the labyrinth.

They told you guys to wait up, but you needed to get the pocket watch first. Maybe they had a good reason, but what if they turned the time back, you’d be at their mercy.

You ran into each other a couple of times, Red and Chloe trying to explain themselves. But you were all on a mission, and maybe you guys were really opposing each other?

“Max if I go ahead to get the watch, will you be able to find me?” You asked as you guys were running through. “I promise.” He nodded.

You blinked and you were at the wonderland safe. Of course you knew how to open it. You looked at everything in the safe, you grabber the pocket watch. The moment you did it felt like you could feel the ticking in your heart. It was buzzing in your ears.

Turning the time would be dangerous, you put the watch in your pocket to assure that there would be no time mistakes today.

“Kitty, where’s Max?” Red called out the moment her and Chloe found you. “Right here.” Max replied, coming from another opening.

“Max, we’re sorry, we can’t go back and undo all of your pain. But I promise, we needed to help our parents. And if we knew it would’ve ruined your life, we wouldn’t have. Believe it or not, your dad was our friend when we time traveled to his years at Auradon. He was a sweet and loving person.” Red put her hand on his shoulder.

“So you ruined my life and gave me my nut job dad, after you experienced the only love he’s ever given. And then after stealing his pockets watch you were going to abandon him and let everyone think he’s the villain?” Max deadpanned, truth be told, they couldn’t really fix this situation just yet. He was still livid. But at least he was calmer with his responses.

“Kitty and I needed the pocket watch to clear my father’s reputation. Something you guys would never have done for him.” He gently took Red’s hand off his shoulder. “I don’t forgive you. And I don’t have to, but I know I will, if you help us clear my father’s name.” He pleaded as he let go of Red’s hand.

“We owe you so much more than that, Max. It’s the least we could do.” Chloe nodded. You all went back to the cottage. It was an uncomfortable moment, it was sad, awkward most of all.

When you regathered with the other VK’s and HK’s the walk seemed better. And once you got to the palace, Luis trapped the Hatter. You got a weird sense once you entered and you looked for it. You found nothing, so you stayed on edge.

Bridget looked relieved. And Ella was there too. Which was odd, but you didn’t mention it. “How dare you come into my palace, endanger my children, and use my magic agaisnt me. Off with his head! Gaurds, take him away.” Bridget ordered “No, you can’t!” Max said desperately.

“This is all my fault. It’s true, mom. Maddox, I’m sorry about everything. This all started because I was too afraid to stand up for what was right. Too afraid to disappoint you. Then and now. I’m no hero, mom. It’s what a person does that defines them.” Red looked up to her mom.

“Hero?” Bridget laughed “that’s just a word! And so is villain, maybe everyone deserves a do-over. He can keep his head. But he can also stay cozy here for a while.” Bridget decided. Hazel stood by Max, and you watched Chloe reunite with her mom. Red and Pink with theirs. Max stood near his dad’s cage.

“The watch exists, but how could you have done all of this?” Max looked around the palace. “I didn’t do it alone.” Maddox laughed half heartedly. And the Cheshire Cat appeared, standing next to the cage.

“Cheshire, nice to meet you.” The feline man mocked, holding his hand out to Max. “You are..” he started, reaching for the man’s hand, but as soon as Max almost made contact the cat switched which hand it was. He must’ve made a fun..

“Dad!” You finished Max’s thought, and Max was right. Your dad was a very playful person. That’s why you felt some off sense, there was another Cheshire Cat here.

You pounced on him. “Oh, my crazy cat. I was so worried about you. Watching you through Maddox’s cameras. I missed you so.” He said as he held you up. “ I came here searching for you.” You smiled, feeling yourself tearing up slightly.

You looked past your dad and saw Max staring at the two of you. “I see you’ve met Max.” You said as you hopped out of your dad’s arms. “This is my boyfriend.” You nodded, and checked to see if Max nodded too, which he did. Causing Maddox and the Cheshire to laugh. Max is my boyfriend! You celebrated inside.

At Bridget’s tea party. The Cheshire practically interviewed Max, and Max was keeping up well with his puckish nature. And you excused yourself and Max the moment everyone started dancing. “So I’ll see you at school?” You asked him excitedly as you put your arms over his shoulders.

“Of course you will” he laughed, it was an obvious yes. Almost as obvious as you announcing him as your boyfriend. “Well you won’t see me.” You teased. “I’ll make sure of it.” You raised your brows.

“You’ve never been invisible to me, remember?” He tilted his head, and you rested your head agaisnt him. This is a fairy tale.

You were glad— no, absolutely ecstatic to be back. The moment you were back at Auradon, you plopped on your bed after a long deserved bath. You opened your computer and checked your emails, looking at grades..but also if Felix messaged. You and him exchanged emails, most VK’s didn’t have phones due to their parents being stuck on the isle.

It was the easiest way to talk to each other when not right next to each other. Was today an ‘email all night long’ night? Yes, yes it was. You would go see him in person, but it was past curfew.

Maybe I was apologizing for ruining your dreams about being in the book of Guinness world record for ‘fasted healed ankle’. It could’ve healed faster if I was a little better at voodoo, I’ve been doing it since the crib, but I have a lot to learn.

I spend most my Saturdays in the library, you can always join us in studying. But usually Charles is looking at insect books, and I’m looking into plant books. I find herbology to be a sadly forgotten study. And Charles got into insects because his mom is totally afraid of them, he always tries to calm her nerves with knowledge.

Sounds good, I’ll be there. And herbs play parts in voodoo, I can teach you some stuff if you want.

Saturday morning you woke up, put on a silk and satin layered dress, your favorite shoes, and began to do your makeup. You didn’t want to look too flashy. It’s just the library. You put your hair into your usual half up half down space bun thing. It was one of your safe hairstyles, you got a couple compliments, no weird looks. And you could not experiment with outfits today. You would see Felix.

Not that Felix would mind. He’s never seemed judgmental. He’s always been quite the gentleman.

Later at the library you and Charles waited for Felix and Hazel. Was this a double date? Well was it?! “Charles, do you like Hazel? Romantically.” You asked quietly, you were in a library. “Well, of course. How could you not!” Sometimes he sounded just like his mom. He sounded identical when he was being affectionate or positive.

“Is this a double date?” You asked, again, quietly. “I don’t think so. Maybe an unofficial double date. A hangout between four people who happen to have an attraction to each other.” He showed you a large beetle from his book.

“That’s one way to put it.” You agreed. You went to the water fountain to calm your nerves. Once you got back you saw Felix and Hazel sitting at the table.

It was a quiet study session, right, the library isn’t exactly date material. Lucky this wasn’t a date. But it was a lovely hangout spot, it was peaceful. Sometimes you and Felix would glance up from your books and share a smile.

Sometimes he would point out herbs and ask you questions about them, a lot of the time you were peering at his book. Voodoo seemed spectacular.

Occasionally you’d see an interaction between Hazel and Charles. He showed her a very dangerous type of spider and she said “I put that in my math teacher’s satchel.” They were definitely a pair.

The library turned into lunch. You all got hungry after 2 hours. And at the on campus cafe, you guys could talk freely and a normal volume. “So voodoo doesn’t usually use tarot cards, why do you use them?” You asked Felix curiously, as you watched him play with cards.

“My father did, my father uses anything and everything given the reputation of black magic to intensify his voodoo. Put I also just like playing with cards.” He showed off a few shuffles and shadows he was able to conjure while shuffling the cards.

“If you want, you can come to my dorm later. I have tons of ritualistic stuff in there.” Felix offered “It’s true, he keeps candles, spices, waters he swear is blessed. It just makes him look like he’s trying out to be some Cupid master chef.” Hazel interjected

“Shrines for the Gods.” Felix rolled his eyes. “What happens if you don’t honor them?” Charles asked curiously. “They drag you to hell like they did my father.” Felix answered simply, but then he realized that sounded wrong. It was right, but he could’ve worded it lighter.

Thankfully the waiter came delivering food and breaking any weird silence.

You did take him up on his offer about seeing his room. Once you were done eating you and Felix went to his room, then Charles and Hazel went in the woods searching for insects.

“This is insane!” You beamed happily, looking aroujd his room, careful to not touch anything. “What do your roommates think?” You asked “They’re respectful to my altars. This one is for Lwa, and Bondye is here, then Papa Legba.” He pointed to everything.

“Papa Legba has a lot of sweets on his alter.” You pointed out. “Papa Legba loves sweets. I don’t usually touch my shrines unless I’m adding to them, I have to refill Papa Legba’s sweets 2 times a week.” He nodded.

You originally want to stop Max from going alone to his dad’s workshop. But he has his mind set, he needs to get the oraculum and prove himself.

Max opened the door gently, slipped out, and closed the door with the handle still twisted so it wouldn’t make a sound. “What are you doing?” You asked innocently, as if you had no clue as to what he said to Hazel. As if you hadn’t been waiting for him.

“Wha—“ he stepped back and banged the back of his head on the door. “Didn’t mean to startle you” you stepped closer. “But you’d agree is pretty weird that you’re out here, planning to head to your father’s workshop, all alone.” You felt bad for him, he took his hand from his head and walked past you.

“So now you’re scrutinizing me too?” You guys both had hushed tones because you were still in earshot of the cottage. It was cold, and the both of you were tired.

You followed after Max. “I’m judging you because you’re judging yourself. Max when will you accept yourself! You don’t need to do this, you don’t need to prove yourself to anyone, how many times do I need to tell you that—“ you phase-shifted yourself in front of him. Which he didn’t expect, he was still trying to keep his brisk pace. Causing you both to fall to the floor

You were both close, he was on top of you, and as an answer to your past fantasies, he was strong. He felt strong at least. Max was trying to keep all his weight off of you, and you were trying to compose yourself.

There was a quick pause, you were speechless and so was he. “If you told me it one more time maybe it would feel true.” He said somberly.

You phase shifted again, so you were standing up now, and no longer beneath him. “You don’t need to prove yourself to anyone but yourself. And you know that you aren’t a bad person already.” You watched him get up. “Now can we please go back inside?” You pleaded as you helped him up.

“You can, I’ll see you tomorrow” he sounded passive and let go of your hand. “Oh, so heroic!” You said sarcastically, “Doing this won’t make anyone like you” you were trying to discourage him now, “Fine, you want to put yourself in danger, then I’m joining you” You were frustrated

“No, you’re not.” Max scoffed, he was being stand offish this whole interaction, probably because hot revolved aroujd having to go to his dad’s. “Yes, I am” You argued, woah, you guys aren’t even dating yet. “You don’t know my father, you don’t know what he’d do to you if he found you. If he caught me that’s one thing, I don’t want to know what he’d do to you. You’re staying here.” He put his hands on your shoulders.

“Okay?” He asked in an unsure tone, he was nervous what you’d say. “You think you can stop me” you raised your brows “I’d like to see you try”

She’s hot, this is really hot. She’s so captivating when she’s frustrated.

He thought to himself, then sighed, “okay, let’s go. If you get hurt—”

“Well I don’t think you’d let that happen, would you, Max?”

“They’re heading here” the Cheshire warned Maddox “So we’ll leave.” Maddox suggested “He’s going to take your oraculum, you’d let him take it?” The Cat was confused.

“Max wont be able to resist looking into it. You of all people know, curiosity kills the cat.” The Hatter and the Cheshire got lost, the hatter went to check on Bridget and Ella. The Cat knew it was best you didn’t see him either, even if it was hard for him to hide from you.

“Looks like nobody’s here” Max declared, letting you into the workshop. You examined the place. It was a mess, it was cold, it was sad. No family photos, no signs of anything in here but failed inventions.

“you grew up here?” You looked to Max

“No, on the isle.” He sounded like he was suppressing whatever he was feeling. “This is it” he stated at the Oraculum “I wonder what it’d show you” you shrugged

“I wasn’t planning on using it, this is was ruined my father.” He shook his head “I thought the Oraculum just answers your questions, I didn’t know that’s what changed your dad” You knew Max was trying to keep this as quick as possible, it was a sensitive subject for him. “It was a mindless suggestion” you looked down.

“I didn’t mean it like that- it wasn’t a bad idea” Max seemed hesitant “What did my father see? And why was it so important?” He asked the Oraculum, and you were curious about what he would see. You stood behind Max and peaked over his shoulder. What’s the worst that could happen?

That’s what you thought till you both saw what the Oraculum had to show. Bridget was an evil queen, Red and Chloe time traveled and made their lives better, but ruined Max’s. “The pocket watch exists?” Max stuttered, “That life of my father was real. We looked happy” he was still in shock. “And now you’re not” you added sympathetically, and he pushed the oraculum off the desk

“Max, we don’t know how true the oraculum is. It could’ve shown a you whatever your father wants you to see. You said it answers anything, maybe it answers incorrectly. Even you said it drive your dad mad.” You tried to reason.

“But it could be true. And if it is then Chloe and Red are to blame. Especially Red, she swapped lives with me! She’s pretending to be a hero, she ruined everything.” Max didn’t raise his voice but you could hear the pain in his voice, you could practically feel it radiating off of him.

“Max, when your father said he was proud of you, you had glasses on. Being an HK wouldn’t ruin your vision—“ you tried to think logically, and the thought was so absurd you cracked a small smile “Kitty, I had glasses in that because my dad probably cared enough to get me glasses. I do need glasses.” And your smile dropped.

“I never got to hear those words, my dad never said he was proud of me! I grew up on the isle, which was apparently a mistake.” He was staring to spiral.

“But you- you have Hazel, and Felix, the Smees! If you didn’t grow up on the isle you wouldn’t have met them.” You pointed out “The isle is no place for any kid, even if they ‘deserve’ to be there ‘cause of their parents! They grow up forced to be bad, that’s the only way you survive, they aren’t loved, I was never loved!”

“That’s not true, you’re loved, I could— I” you were rethinking your sentence, you couldn’t fix this. Max lifted his head, wondering how you were going to end your sentence. “I could love you, and I don’t right now, but that’s because we barely started to get to know each other. I know you like me, if you’d approached me I wouldn’t have laughed in your face.” You started

“You need to accept that this, everything. It’s what happened, even if you can to change it, you shouldn’t. Ella was in danger and Bridget was a tyrant, they gave you your life for the price of two, they saved their families and destroyed yours. It’s wrong, but it’s what happened.” You continued

“You know what you can change that won’t harm anyone, your actions. If you just loved yourself and accepted who you are, who your dad is, which doesn’t mean his actions fall on you, then you’d be happier.”

“We know where they hid the pocket watch, we can get it and show your dad, he’d be vindicated.” You suggested “We need to hurry, you can’t feel bad for yourself there’s no time” you reminded

“I’m not feeling bad for myself, I am just amazed by you, you’re sly, and logical, everything that comes out of your mouth is a good idea. Like getting that watch, so let’s go save my father.” Max nodded, you both ran out of the workshop.

Author’s note, I’m glad you guys are enjoying all my descendant content. As always, REQUESTS ARE WIDEEE OPEN. I love these, so mad I didn’t think of this lovely idea myself…but I did think of another part to add onto our Felix one shots! So I’m thinking it’s family day at Auradon like in the 1st movie, and there’s some tension in Nadine’s parents meeting her boyfriend ooooh! I’m also thinking about adding a personally made musical scene NOT from the movie cause I do have a song in mind for them. They would be dating in that one shot, I’m not sure if they’re supposed to be dating in this request so they will be friends who are crushing now. Let me know in the comments if you want the Family day oneshot too 👀 also for this I’m keeping Charles because I love Tiana and Lottie and I kinda wanna have a side plot with Hazel and Charles being a ship, my guilty pleasure.

By you being good friends with Chloe it lead to you joining her and red in Maddox’s Wicked Wonderland. It was hard because you were friends with the HK’s AND the VK’s now, their disagreements made survival harder. Most of all, Red had some of the most underbaked ideas, they panned out, but at what cost..

The trip was going horribly. Ten minutes into Wonderland and you got chased by a bunch of mechanical flamingos, Max was the safest, the flamingos weren’t after him.

They were darting for you and everyone else. You ran into a house— a mad house. It was twisting as you ran through, which was making you dizzy.

You all ran into a bigger room, which began to collapse on you guys. The walls were closing in and you were squished between Hazel, Felix, Chloe.

Once the house popped, you were tossed into a pot of fluffy mushrooms. “Where’s Red?” Chloe got up, “Oh, I’m worried!” Pink squeaked. “Are you okay?” Felix checked, glancing over your body looking for any injuries.

“I’m breathing fine, you are unharmed as well?” You returned the same glances. Felix helped you out of the pit, you took his hand and looked for Charles.

You didn’t see Charles in the foam pit at all! You lost your best friend in Wonderland. “Charles?!” You shrieked. “Nadine, he’s right there.” Felix repositioned your shoulders to face Charles’..hand? He was trying to climb up, but Hazel was actively using him to get up faster, which was dragging him down. You let out a sigh of relief. And a few minutes later, Red and Luis showed up.

Red pointed out another one of the Hatter’s birds. Luis started to mess with the tree the bird was perched on. Which only caused it to attack you guys. You tripped over tree roots and sprained your right ankle, it wasn’t completely out of commission. But you’d have to limp.

20 minutes into wonderland and you were being attacked and swooped on by more birds. But with an injured ankle. Felix offered to carry you, and you let him. Because it really did hurt to walk. He felt horrible because he should’ve done something about the mechanical spy, he could’ve done somethin. But anyone would’ve done anything better than Luis, shaking it around and angering it. Who knew robots grew mad too!

“Great call Red.” Chloe remarked, she was salty that they didn’t go with her idea. I’m all fairness, it was Luis picked the dumbest way to get rid of the bird.

“Maybe we should find somewhere to sleep for the night?” You suggested, trying to shift to a passive mood. “She’s right it’s getting dark.” Max agreed

“And nobody should be walking this long.” Pink groaned, and Pink wasn’t a complainer. You nodded, not because you were walking, but you had sympathy for Felix cause you were weighing him down.

Though he kept reassuring you it was fine. It’s not like lifting you was hard, it was probably a nuisance to carry someone for over 30 minutes.

“This way” Luis insisted, causing Hazel to oppose. “This isn’t follow the leader, and anyways, YOU aren’t the leader.” She rejected his directions. “There’s a tree, we can sleep there.” Pink pointed to the glowing tree. “Good idea” you looked over Felix’s shoulder and back at Pink.

The tree was good shelter, the company was questionable though. A night into wonderland and you were tired of the arguing. Charles and Hazel were the only interaction you could watch without getting anxious.

“How do you kill a Kracken, especially with only one napkin?” Charles always sounded so funny when he was confused or questioning something because of his accent. Hazel must’ve thought the same thing because she laughed at his curiosity.

You and Felix decided to sleep near each other, Felix was the one who suggested it anyway. You were having trouble sleeping, it was partially because you were afraid some birds would find you, and due to discomfort curtesy of your ankle. “Felix, why don’t you ever use any voodoo? I’ve seen your card tricks, they’re wonderful. But why don’t you ever use your magic, if I had magic, I’d definitely use it.”

“Feels wrong. Especially when I’m around you, it would make me guilty. My dad scammed yours and took his would with voodoo. I just couldn’t. And anyway, if I did, I’d be chastised. It’s too risky.” He sounded sad as you both stared at the leaves.

Maybe it was wrong of you to ask in the first place. “Well, we’re both from New Orleans, and I don’t think Voodoo is bad. It’s really impressive, Felix.” And with that, you both finally fell asleep.

You woke up on a chess board, one of Maddox’s challenges. Felix stood by you as Chloe figured out the game. “See Robbie, you’d go there.” she pointed, “Chloe, I don’t think the Hatter would make this a fair game—“ you pouted, then watched Robbie get launched, causing everyone to flinch.

Leaving Red to take control, you began to brace yourself. Not that Red was a bad leader, she was just impulsive..on the upside your ankle was better, you could walk, but you definitely couldn’t run yet.

Everything happened to fast, one second you were definitely going to become a plant sacrifice, and the last thing you saw was a shadow, charging towards you and grabbing you out of the way. Red was victorious, you all were.

You were a little startled because Red decided you were the expendable one, but at least Felix saved you. Once you were all normal size, you had to tease him.

“Hey, Red. No leader uses any member as live bait.”Felix said bitterly. “Really sorry about that Nadine. You were just the closest one to me, I forgot about your ankle.” Red apologized. You cordially lied and said it was okay.

After Red went back to Luis you needed to thank Felix. “You used your voodoo.” You sounded in awe, a cross over between crying, then a bit of admiration and joy. You hugged him “You used your friends on the other side.” You cooed again, still leaning on him. “I had to” he replied matter of factly, as if he didn’t just see his future almost crash and burn in front of his eyes.

Part 5!

After one really awkward night, you guys wake up to find yourselves dancing with the enemy. Once you guys win a game of chess you crash the white rabbit’s cottage.

You and Max joined the rest of the group after you cheered him up..and embarrassed him. Really, he left so quickly because he felt too nervous after knowing you can read his body as easy as a children’s book.

Hazel and Chloe probably had some disagreement, based off the way they were glaring at each other. Robbie and Felix just got back. Pink offered them tea and they had a synchronized freak out.

“Kitty, if you don’t know where you’re sleeping tonight you can always—“ Max was totally going to offer to sleep side by side. Same area, possible cuddling. Or being super respectful and no cuddling. But he was going to offer to be near each other. Share one of those deep midnight conversations, but then Felix grabbed him, and Robbie grabbed you.

They were just happy to be back. And you weren’t very close with Robbie. But you both had some sort of understanding, his dad was a thief, but had good moral, he wasn’t quite a VK or HK, just like you.

It would probably be awkward if you said ‘yes’ to Max while you were both actively being dragged away.

“We found you guys because we heard the singing, such beautiful singing.” Robbie sounded relieved and tired as he squeezed you, and you let out an involuntary hiss. “Oh, sorry princess, I forget my own strength sometimes.” He frantically apologized, he also dropped you out of fear when you hissed. “Not a princess, Robbie.” You corrected, Robbie and Luis were bone heads. But Robbie was less conceited than Luis so you tolerated him.

Max seemed agitated from the interruption, so he interrupted himself. “I know how to stop my dad, we go after his Oraculum.” He announced as he looked at the reacts he gained.

In the Hatter’s workshop lay Max’s dad, and your dad. Watching the camera footage. “Max, you fool!” The hatter said angrily “what ever will you do?” The Cheshire, impish as ever. “I’m going to win, my way.” And the two of them looked to the chess table.

“I told you to leave my daughter out of it.” The Cat reminded (when ur imaging ur dad imagine him in his human form like you’re in ur human form right now. But you guys can shapeshift.) “She’ll be left out, don’t worry, my friend.”

You woke up alone, nobody there. Did they all decide to ditch you for being boring? Or was it because you manipulated the groups into fighting yesterday? But how could they have even figured that out. You decided it was time to find your father. They left you, that was their choice.

“Certain as the sun, rising in the east. Tale as old as time. Song as old as rhyme. Beauty and the beast.” You hummed to yourself, walking through the forest. You saw the butterflies, and the birds, the crazy colored trees, it was pretty. But Wonderland was in danger right now. You couldn’t enjoy the beauty. Not even for a second. And where was your dad to be found? It’s almost like he was purposely hiding dorm you.

Maybe everyone was trying to avoid you.

“Well if everyone is avoiding me, I’m forcing a companion to accompany me. Like you, little miss caterpillar. Katy the caterpillar, I like the alliteration.” The caterpillar crawled between your fingers. “Maybe Alice felt this lost.” You whispered as you kept walking.

Nobody at Auradon is just like their parents. And maybe thag was the worse part of it. You get the reputation, but in the end, everyone confesses, they aren’t like their predecessors one bit. You knew this because right now, you were lost in wonderland, your own playground, and you worried about your dad, sad about being alone, and talking to a caterpillar.

You left your caterpillar after a couple of steps, it was wrong to force someone to be your companion. You kept walking..’til you heard a bunch of tiny voices. Felix and Robbie were right, you can hear the singing, and it’s beautiful singing. But it was a little fainter, of course you could hear it well, but it sounded smaller.

Everything sounded smaller, even their heart beats. Once you reached it, you saw them one by one lining up to eat Alice’s cookies. And looking down and seeing a pocket-sized Max was adorable. He was so teeny and tiny, and he looked peeved till he looked up and saw you. You couldn’t quite see the tiny expression on his tiny face, but you’d hope it be positive.

When everyone was back to normal size, Red began to explain what happened. Maddox teleported them all there, it’s just how they woke up. “And then we had to dance to fight them!” Pink added. Pink was as chipper as ever, Chloe looked like a downer.

“Why weren’t you there with us?” Luis sounded as accusatory as ever. Seriously, what was his issue? “Alright, don’t you get tired of playing Sherlock? Doesn’t it get mundane?!” You snapped back. But in all reality, you were questioning it too. “It’s just a little odd how you weren’t there, and show up the moment Maddox loses. You are from wonderland, how do we know you aren’t a live spy for Maddox?” Luis cocked a brow.

“Why don’t you leave her alone.” Hazel warned. “No, he has a point.” Red looked to you, trying to see if you had some mal intent on your face. “Look, I don’t know why!“ you tried to explain, but you had no proof or even a hypothesis about what happened. “She isn’t working with my dad, she hasn’t done anything but help us this whole time.” You heard Max say from behind you, you had no idea he was even standing behind you.

“The Chess board set us back, we won’t be able to get to my father’s work shop today.” Max was trying to change focus. “I know where the White Rabbit’s cottage is and we can-“ you started

“You could be leading us to a trap” Luis cut you off. For a hero, he was pretty rude, and really untrusting. “You know you pick a lot of fights, you loveee picking fights. You know why you love it, so you can swoop in and act all hero like you’re morally superior or better than anyone here. Well you’re not, so if you HK’s want to follow pretty boy, go ahead. We’ll be following someone with actual Wonderland experience.”

The VK’s joined you in walking. So did Chloe, easily, which Hazel seemed satisfied with. “We shouldn’t split up.” Red looked to Luis. Causing the HK’s to join too.

And after another agonizing walk you finally reached the White Rabbit’s cottage. “We should be able to stay here. We just can’t make a big mess, but we should be able to eat some of his food. I can leave a note.” You announced as everyone explored and go comfortable. “Off on very important date, back next spring.” Red looked at a very neat and well written note.

“Everyone knows the White Rabbit winters out of Wonderland, right Kitty?” Pink nudged you with her elbow. “That’s true” you nodded.

Everyone began ransacking the rabbit’s kitchen. Poor rabbit. The twins were fighting over cake that Hazel discovered, Red was trying to talk to Chloe using lemonade, and you were starving. You were also going to eat, until you heard what Max said to Hazel. He was going to go to his father’s workshop, alone. Why did he want to prove himself to badly?

You followed him out the moment you heard him sneak off. You waited for him to open the door to leave as you started at it in anticipation.

author’s note YES, A MILLION TIMES YES! You didn’t say relationship ship like friends to lover or enemies or close proximity, so I’m basing it off Jay and Lonnie. I decided to name her Nadine, kinda like Naveen, it was between Nadine or Tonya to match Tiana’s name but I felt Nadine fit better. Imagine, Nadine princess of Maldonia and I thought it had a flow. Since we know Tiana and Naveen, the character is incontrovertible going to be African-Indian mix. So I will be describing physical features based on The Princess and the frog. Felix Facilier found himself pining after Nadine, the two shared chemistry class together. And they definitely had chemistry. Felix finding himself as Nadine’s chem partner he knew he had to take a real shot at asking her out.

The VK’s were in the quad, dreading another dad at Auradon prep. They obviously didn’t fit in. The Smees had it the easiest, since they didn’t ever notice they were outliers. Felix always noticed.

None of them committed the same crimes as their parents. A couple pick pocketing instances, break ins, vandalism, things like that.

But they never put anyone in danger. Felix always regretted his dad’s actions, Mr Facilier is the reason he grew up in a harsh environment. But the biggest reason he regretted his father’s actions, was because he harbored intense feelings for Tiana and Naveen’s kid. Nadine, the princess of Maldonia. She was a dream.

“Her hair, in class today. Did you guys see? She had it like this half up half down, two buns on top and the rest fell all cute and curly. She walked past me to get a cauldrons, she smells gorgeous, well she looks gorgeous too—“ Felix went on as the group ate their breakfast.

“Well then why don’t you talk to her loverboy? Better idea, why don’t you go to fairy god mother and wish for the courage to talk to her.” Hazel snarled purely because Max took the apple off her tray. “You did not get any sleep last night did you?” Max taunted as he took a bite.

“If you guys had your heart set on your parent’s enemies child, you woudlnt quite be able to talk to them either. Well..we’ve talked about what’s on the lunch menu from time to time, or what time class ends. No fireworks there.” Felix sighed “Maybe I’m a hopeless romantic” he joked

“She is the most royal here, so I’d recommend you try your luck before she goes on to rule Maldonia and forgets all about Auradon.” Max suggested, more so as a joke, but once Felix heard that he had his mind set.

Once everyone was in chem class, and once the professor finished explaining your new lab, Felix took a deep breath and made his was toward you. “Hey, Nadine, would you like to be lab partners?” He asked, trying to repress and desperateness in his tone.

“Oh, I’d like that..but Charles and I are already paired up.” You felt your eyebrows raise in sympathy. “That’s alright, you don’t have to worry about it.” He replied with a nod and a smile. It was embarrassing, yea, but he refused to be one of those guys that took rejection in a jerkish way.

Plus, you usually partnered with Charles anyway, Charles La Bouff was Lottie’s son. Your mother’s were best friends, it was expected. At least Felix tried right? “Actually Charles promised me a dance. Come on, you can make sure I don’t light this place up with the burner.” Hazel pulled Charles back with her hook “AH” you heard the blond boy yelp.

“Looks, like I don’t have a lab partner anymore.” You smiled softly. Hazel the amazing wing woman she is

Felix laughed at the thought. “And looks like the seat next to me is empty” He smiled back, as he pulled out the seat for you. “Felix, you don’t have to do that, really.” You assured as you sat down. “Just treat me as you’d treat any of your friends.” You added.

Felix thought about how him and his friends messed around, and he did NOT want to treat you like that. You were literal royalty. “You’re a princess” he pointed out, you were a real life princess. He was staring at a real life princess. And he was just a common man, well, a voodoo man. But that was a no good trait, well it wasn’t good the way his father used it.

“And you could be the King of France, doesn’t make much a difference.” You placed your books on the table. She has a wonderful voice, even the way she talks is beautiful

“Right..well what potion should we present to Fairy god mother?” Felix asked you, as he opened his own books. “Hm, what about a potion for levitation? It seems pretty easy.” You showed him the page in the text book. “Good idea.”

“Hazel I’m not sure that goes there.” Charles spoke calmly. “Oh well, let’s see what it does.” She added it into their cauldron. Which was followed by a loud bang. “Looks like you were right blondie.” She laughed to herself. Though Charles stayed staring at the mess that they’d caused. Causing you and Felix to laugh

As you guys began to gather and mix all the ingredients you guys were making some simple conversations. You liked Felix’s hair, his necklace, his eyes most of all. He seemed to have honest eyes, and he didn’t show any real resemblance to his father. “You have honest eyes” you told Felix as you bottled up your work.

“I..have never been told that? Well since we are exchanging compliments, your hair looks so soft. And you this addicting way of speaking, You also look really good in green and green is my favorite color.” Felix let out, it relieved him. “And you’re funny” you laughed at how concisely he spoke as if he was letting out a long held breath of air.
