“So you see, young lady, there never was an undiscovered seam of gold in the Al-Kahari,” Professor Henderson concluded, “I kept trying to tell these thugs that, but they wouldn’t listen and kept Angela and I prisoner trying to get us to confess to knowing about something that didn’t exist!” The academic suddenly looked very frustrated. “What really annoyed me though,” he continued, “was that that Maddox fellow vandalised my notes on the Kahari wall paintings, trying to get us to reveal the location of this fantasy gold. I’ll have to write them up again from scratch!” The professor took his pipe from his pocket, lit it and pushed in his mouth in frustration.

Later Jane loaded the bound and sullen Maddox to join the similarly tied Kane and Hargreaves, into the back of the Hendersons’ jeep. She looked round at the elderly man, whose mood had improved somewhat, and his daughter. “I hope you don’t mind taking these three to the authorities in Nairobi,” the jungle woman said to them, “but Tarzan returns from Opar tomorrow and I promised him I would check in on Chief Mpala of the Waziri while they are away. I doubt they will free themselves, but take one of their rifles each - that should keep them compliant.”

Henderson and Angela smiled in agreement and gratitude. “Of course, Jane,” said the young woman, “my father and I can’t thank you enough for saving us from these barbarians. We will deliver them to the Kenyan police with pleasure.” The professor nodded. “Yes, my dear.” he added. “It will be very satisfying to see these scoundrels locked up and then I can return to my research in peace.” With her prisoners safely stowed, Jane breathed deeply in satisfaction and also smiled. “Then I will bid you good people farewell.” she told them. She turned to her loyal chimpanzee, still waiting patiently. “Come, Chi-chi,” she said to her pet coaxingly, “our work here is done.”

But first Jane had to secure Kane too, who just come round. Depositing Maddox unceremoniously on the bank of the stream next to his accomplice, Jane then hauled the third of the gang to his feet and proceeded to tie his hands securely behind his back while the bound Maddox glared up bitterly at the jungle woman. Professor and Angela Henderson looked on admiringly as the last of their kidnappers was ignominiously made a prisoner himself. “You see, my friends,” Jane said to the Hendersons reassuringly, “you have nothing to fear from these men any longer. They are useless without their weapons!”

Once Kane had joined his companions in resentful captivity, Jane smiled to herself and turned again to the archaeologist and his daughter. “There. All tied up.” she said simply. “Come let’s get something to eat and you can tell me the whole story.” Professor Henderson beamed. “With pleasure, Lady Greystoke,” he replied.

Samantha cautiously looked around the column again but the man was nowhere to be seen. I’m busted. the female burglar thought to herself. Time to live to fight another day. The young masked woman emerged from hiding carefully, seeking to retrace her steps towards the apartment entrance. Engrossed in making her escape silently, Samantha was completely surprised when a large hand grasped her throat from behind and another rested unpleasantly on her breast. “What do we have here?” the householder growled in her ear. “A little sneak thief?” Samantha craned her neck to look into her assailant’s eyes. “Please don’t hurt me!” she begged. “I’ll just go!”

Even as she pleaded, the cunning burglar’s left hand crept down behind her…

Professor’s Predicament

“Now, Professor,” said Claire coquettishly, lifting up the hem of her skirt as she did so, revealing to the bound lecturer that she was indeed wearing stockings, “now how about finally agreeing to regrade my finals papers upwards, to avoid me posting my pictures of you like this on all my socials?”

Professor Parsons sighed bitterly and looked down at the bulge that was betraying him yet again as Claire besported herself in front of his impressive bookshelf. Behave yourself you! he thought angrily, silently berating his treacherous member, You are what got me into this trouble in the first place!

Once the surviving Thracians, who less than half an hour before had threatened to overwhelm the doughty but hopelessly outnumbered female defenders of the Thermidor, were bound and on their knees, Antiope, Electra and the remains of the Amazon detachment at last felt able to raise their arms in thanks for the divine intervention of Hera, Queen of Heaven, and the other goddesses who favoured the realm of Themiscyra. The male prisoners surreptitiously raised their bowed heads to take in this moment of female religious thanks, but quickly looked away again. The Thracian Zeus-worshippers had little time for Demeter, Artemis, Aphrodite and the other female deities the women warriors insisted on worshipping, but they retained a healthy respect and sense of fear for Hera and Athena, whose power had so clearly and suddenly brought the invaders to this sorry state.

Across the battlefield, Anticleia bestrode her mighty white horse for the first time that day, and rode the stallion triumphantly through the cheering ranks of her personal guard, the bound and humiliated Leonidas paraded before her. “Warriors!” the beaming commander, magnificent in her golden armour, called out over the cheering of her guards. “Let the word go out - all Thracians to be bound together in lines for our glorious march to our capital and to present the spoils of Hera’s victory to our Queen - the greatest prize of course being my abject prisoner, Leonidas, King of the Thracians himself!”

The cheers and ululations grew still louder, echoing in the ears of the shamed and furious Leonidas himself…

Jane and the Jewel of Solomon: Saving the Day!

Just as the desperate Professor Kenyon was about to reveal the location of the Jewel of Solomon to save his beautiful daughter from mutilation or worse at the hands of the two evildoers, there was sound of hurrying bare feet on soft grass, and a started cry from Karlsson as two female forms burst into the clearing to save the day!

To the Professor’s immense surprise, their rescuers were two young women he had never seen before. One was Jane, now reunited with the other warrioress, Jamila ,who flung herself on the despicable Gryff and twisted the knife with which he had threatened Abigail from the villain’s hand, causing the weapon to drop to the forest floor. Meanwhile Jamila, armed with de Beer’s rifle, levelled it at Karlsson, causing the second criminal to surrender immediately. “Don’t shoot!” the coward cried, terrified, “please, young lady, I throw myself on your mercy!”

Oh hi! Haven’t seen you in awhile… how have you been since… you know…

- Haha, she means since she dumped your sorry ass and got with me.

You… you haven’t been so good? You’re broken hearted? Aww, sweetie, you miss me, huh? The curt smile on your wife’s face, the sneer on her date’s face, his arm possessively around her, holding her tight, and her hand placed lightly on him. They look at you with a mocking pity that kills you inside as you take the hem of your dress and curtsy, and say with a quivering voice “have a nice evening,”.

“Oh, don’t you worry, we will-“ your wife says, “but you should really be focused on your chores… make sure you get them all done and get yourself into your nightie and in bed by your bedtime- don’t disappoint me and make me have to punish you again, okay?”
