have you ever had any paranormal experiences?im hoping that by hearing other peoples stories, ill get some ideas for my current story
//Oh!! Yes, I’ve had many experiences. I was waiting for someone to ask.
This was back when I was a toddler. I used to get up at five in the morning, because that’s when my dad was going to work and I always wanted to see him off. I’d usually just stay up and watch cartoons, but I was really tired, so I went to crawl into my parents’ bed, next to my mom.
I don’t remember what made me look up at the wall above our heads, but I did, and I saw this spot of color. It was like a mix of a really light pink and blue. I had stared up at it and it took me a minute to realize that it was blinking when I was. To test, I closed my eyes for ten seconds exactly and opened my eyes, looking back at the spot where the color had been. It wasn’t there- until it was! It was copying me. Blinking when I was, etc. Like a game! After that, I tugged a blanket over my head and waited until everyone woke up.
This was back in a house that had two (three including the basement) stories and it was notably scary the moment you stepped inside. I was usually home alone with my older sister since my little sister had school and my parents worked a store. The landing was where the bathroom was and every time I walked by it, I felt like I had to rush or something would drag me in there.
My room was shared with my older sister. It was a loft room and the only way to get up there was a really long ladder that could be moved from both sides of the room since one was a loft and the other side was a window seat. Since the ladder was heavy, we didn’t move it very often.
One night I was laying in bed and from my position, I was directly facing the door. I could clearly see the door handle wiggle- I could hear it, too. I knew that my family was asleep. The floor wasn’t exactly quiet. You could definitely tell when people were walking around.
After that, I begged my sister to let me stay up in her loft that night, since she has insomnia and wasn’t going to use her bed anyway. She let me, so I climbed up and that was that. Except in the morning, my older sister went to take a shower. I knew for a fact that the house was empty, because everyone was at work or school except for us.
I was just laying in bed, when every part of me froze up and no matter what, I couldn’t move. Fear was keeping me where I was. Then I heard foot steps and a rustling of items being gone through. It was loud enough that I really did think there was someone in my house and if someone’s being a burglar, a small child won’t check it out and stop them, right?
Well this went on until the shower stopped and then it faded. The thing that gets me is that my door was never opened (it’s a loud door) and the window was broken, so no one could get in that way. When my sister came in the room, she didn’t see anything was moved, but I knew that the bowl I’d stored in the room was flipped over. I definitely felt someone or something moving around my room.
In a new house, but no less haunted, found my older sister, my younger sister, and I all in the same room. The spare room was the office primarily because anyone who slept in that room would have terrible nightmares. My little sister slept on the floor (on a mattress) and my older sister and I would have the bunk bed.
We’d gotten accustomed to sleeping with the light on because of my older sister’s insomnia. So it wasn’t a big deal when I woke up at four in the morning and the light was still on. Except my older sister was looking scared and I asked her what was going on. She explained that every time she turned off the light, there’d be clicking around the room and it would get closer to where we slept. I didn’t really believe her, so she decided to prove it to me.
She turned off the light and at first nothing happened, but then there was clicking. It isn’t comparable to any noise I’ve ever heard and if I heard it today, I would easily distinguish it. It circled the long way around the room and was getting really close to us. My sister and I decided we didn’t want to find out what would happen if we let it get to its destination, so she turned the light back on. After that, I felt really angry for no reason. Looking back, it probably wasn’t my anger.
Hopefully this gives you some ideas. I have lots more experiences, but this is already long enough!
