they are both young girls who were devoted to looking after their older siblings who in return took advantage and abused them

they were both punching bags too. rei (emotionally) was not only being beat down by her older sister fukiko but honestly she was the scapegoat of her family aswell. and then there's anthy who was getting smacked damn near every single episode😭

but despite it all they both did manage to find love with someone who cared very deeply about them and was protective of them. it's so beautiful see a characters who seems so removed from feeling because of all that they've been thru start to develop feelings for someone in their life. someone who actually takes care of them
