It's just like. It would have been so much easier for Horikoshi if he had gone with Izuocha. It wouldn't have required the delicate setting of themes he went with. He consciously made the effort to introduce toga and imitation=love, the hand parallels, the inherent romance of OFA (and then Bakugou seeing the All Might vestige), the canon couple lookalikes, 'the closest person to Izuku Midoriya', controlling his heart, Bakugou's whole entire character arc... he consciously sidelined the easier route when it came to storytelling and chose a way more complicated (but way more interesting) story, and I think we gotta give him credit for that. And also. If he were going with Izuocha none of this would be necessary! It would, in fact, be detrimental to the story!
