alex was only here to meet a buddy, but the friend had raincheck and he was sitting here drinking alone. it didn’t bother him. he preferred it. checking his phone to see if the babysitter had any issues he heard a voice and was letting out a small laugh. “i’ll buy you a drink, you don’t need to pick up my tab.”

Benji was twenty, so he was only at the bar all thanks to his fake ID he’d purchased years ago. Nodding his head when the man nearby spoke up, he leaned forward a little awkwardly to speak. “Yeah – Uh… Tab’s under Gregory.”

wes had plenty money to pick up his tab, but when the other speaks, he perks up, walks over. “i see we have a philanthropist in our midst.” wes speaks, lifting his glass of scotch to his lips and finishing off the rest. “what’s up with the charity work, though? need to clear your conscience?”

“Is that even a question?” Kennedy responded, barely looking up from her glass sat on the bartop, half filled with raspberry vodka and ice. “Did you really expect someone to say no? Or a better question is, do you usually pick up random strangers’ bar tabs? What’s the catch?”
