"Mommy, please walk to school with me." Little girl's school ​organized a Walk to School day today. A year ago, the response to her would have been, "Sorry baby. Mommy has to get to work." Quitting the 9-5 work week hustle for adventures in full-time parenting wasn't​ the easiest transition for this self-proclaimed, "I never want to be a stay home mom". But the joy in being able to be present for my kids, take in all these little moments and still bring​ home more then 3/4 of what I was making by commuting 4 hours a day is something I could have never imagined. Damn you Ikea and your walk in for one thing, walk out with new patio flooring powers (at IKEA)

In the same amount of time it would have taken me to go down to Starbucks and stand in line to order just an egg salad sandwich, I was able to make it myself, add an apple on the side AND save 50 calories. When you #eatlesscrap, you can actually #eatmorefood. Which would you pick?

Back home from a week down south and the fridge is EMPTY!! #sundaymorning was just spent #mealplanning for the week, while #nursing the baby and sipping coffee. Next task for the day: food shopping, #cooking and #mealprepping. Does anyone else really look forward to Sunday marathon cooking?? (at Town of Barrington)
