because it was a mechanical failure (something physically wrong with the drive) and not a logical one, not only can i not use recovery software to restore any of my data from it. i'd have to take it to a professional service which apparently for mechanical failures averages at about 500 to 1k dollars.
on top, of the 200 for a new drive.
i cant really. afford that. i'm just gonna have to focus on getting a new drive and thankfully the old one wont get any worse if i don't mess with it. but i've never actually had more than like 500 dollars in my account at any given time, so this is going to turn into a much longer term issue.
to elaborate, that drive didn't just have everything i've ever drawn in the past 10 years, it also has everything that was ever important to me period on it, so uh.
