BACKSTORY: Maya is 23 years old; she became a wrestling fan due to her brother (who is deceased.) They were the closest growing up and when he showed her wrestling, she became a fan due to one person in particular: her idol Mercedes Mone. She began training with Athena at her wrestling school and in 2023 - she got an opportunity to wrestle for AEW, eventually getting signed with them. She's still very new to the game but she's shown so much heart, grit, and passion that she's quickly became a fan favorite on AEW. Competing against her idol Mercedes at AEW's ppv Forbidden Door and coming so close but ultimately losing, a devastating loss for her and a hard pill to swallow but she was so grateful for the opportunity given to her and so grateful that the fans were cheering for her as well. Maya is what one would describe as the underdog, the one with so much heart, the one who never gives up. She keeps going, keeps pushing no matter what anyone else tells her.
She is very close with her family and always has been, she's single, ships via heavy chemistry and really is just a sweet girl looking for friends and connections!
