The disservice this also does to Athena's character/storyline is deeply annoying for me. Makes me uninterested in what's coming. She already dealt with the loss of a man she loved that changed the trajectory of her life? For like, decades! SHE ALREADY LIVED IN THE HOUSE SHE BUILT WITH A MAN SHE LOVED, WITHOUT THE MAN. (Note: these are two separate men, this isn't her first rodeo, or her second, it's her freaking third.) So... we're just going to reset and rehash her character arc because the showrunners wanted to write more juicy loss, despite it being repetitive? Bleh.
