With the news surrounding the met gala, it seemed as if that’s all Savannah had time to prepare for. Whether she was at the gym with Cherí in an attempt to remain fit or obsessing over the seating chart to see where she’d potentially sit, the entire event consumed her days. When she received a call from CJ, she could barely even focus. “Huh? Stop, I was listening.” She lied while applying toner to her face. “Anyway. Thanks CJ. Those friends of yours at the FTC were super helpful. We should have dinner with them again. I really don’t feel like going back to New York though but we definitely can’t do that here.” She half-complained. “Also, I’ve been avoiding telling you this but there was this photo of us at dinner that was published, but your name wasn’t mentioned luckily. As a precaution, I don’t think we should see each other for a while.” She spoke lowly while slathering her face in her moisturizer. It was nighttime and all Sav had planned was a mini spa night along with her favorite movies and a bottle of wine. The male on her line wasn’t too thrilled about the fact she didn’t want to see him but at the end of the day, he knew business was of utmost importance to them both. “Fine. Try not to get into any trouble. We’re not completely free of that other thing.” He warned before ending the call. Sighing deeply, Savannah applied a serum to her face before heading to her room where she opened a chilled bottle of Santa Margeherita Pinot Grigio and poured it into her wine glass.

“You’re right! All of those sound amazing and I’ll start doing some research on each tonight. You’re literally the best.” Walking to one of the tables, Savannah took a seat while sipping her green juice. “I know you love horses so it’s nice you get to do something that relates to what you’re passionate about. I can’t wait to support you. Also, let me know how I can get in on that Welcome Collective. That’s such a great idea and I know a few people who might be able to help with the gift baskets.” Removing the lid from her lemon kale ceasar salad, Sav started to pour the vinaigrette over the leafy greens. “Good, wedding planning should be fun not stressful. Maybe him and Garnell would get along, or even Aziel. I’m sure there are a few guys around Hidden Springs that he’d get along with.” 

“Ooh, my favorite healthy person.” Sav teased as she approached her friend then wrapped her arms around her. “Hey, you look gorgeous.” She complimented. “Oh, I’ll have a green juice like her, but with a Ceasar salad. No croutons!” She sternly explained to the cashier. Reaching into her mini Kelly bag, the woman grabbed her card then paid for her and her friend’s meals. 

“Oh wow, I never would’ve guessed!” Raising the smoothie to her lips, she took another sip. “A personal stylist? I wish! Maybe I’ll have to make a career move.” She joked with a chuckle following behind her words. “The designs are always so beautiful. Definitely my favorite part and the after parties are wild too.” 

“Don’t rub, blot. It’ll be easier to come out.” Savannah coached, she was a bit OCD at times and was pretty good at getting out stains. “No, no. At least let me pay for your dry cleaning.” The woman pleaded with a smile. “Yeah, it seems like everyone is on the run, trying to get to the next place but that’s Hidden Springs for ya!” She joked. “I’m heading to the farmers market.” 

“Worse than running into someone and almost spilling your drink? I find that hard to believe. You seem super put together.” Sav explained. “You’re right.” The woman beamed while stepping aside. “I’m ecstatic. I have a few clients on the guest list, so I’m really excited for them. Hopefully their outfits look good.”  She explained. “Nice to meet you too. I love your work by the way.” 

“I’m just so clumsy and I’m sure it doesn’t help that I was paying attention to my phone.” Savannah replied. Realizing who it was, a smile graced her face. “Luckily, no. My reflexes were pretty swift that time.” She laughed off while taking a sip of her drink. “Funnily enough, I was reading about the Met Gala seating situation. Hidden Springs proves to be smaller than I think.” The woman teased. “I’m Savannah Alcott. Nice to meet you.”

Glued to her phone, Sav kept her eyes peeled for further updates regarding the Met Gala. It was a special event and as a publicist, it was her job to stay on top of these things. She was pleased to see a few of her clients on the list, but was ultimately waiting to see if she’d be included for the first time. The woman was so distracted that she accidentally bumped into the person in front of her, nearly dropping her post workout smoothie. “Oh crap, I’m sorry!” 

“It definitely is a hobby; one many people can’t do.” She pointed out with a surprised expression on her face. “That’s incredible. I wanna know more about it.” Intrigued with his interest in flying, the woman began placing a generous heaping of pasta onto his plate then doing the same for hers. Closing her eyes and bowing her head, she said a quick prayer then ate some of her salad. 

“Really? My parents made me take those classes too, but it was honestly a complete waste of money because I pretty much do what I want now.” She admitted with a chuckle that turned into a bright smile once he pulled out her chair. “Thank you.” Taking a seat, she nodded her head. “I love gardening, it’s actually really therapeutic for me. Do you have any hobbies?” Lifting the bowl containing salad, Savannah used the wooden salad servers to mix it up before placing an appropriate serving onto Evian’s salad dish. “I’m glad you love spicy food because I do too. I made my signature spicy fusilli, so I hope you’ll enjoy it.” 

“Well that’s sweet of you. Clearly, your parents raised you right.” She complimented. Chuckling a bit at his answer, Sav nodded her head in agreement. “Yeah, I really like Italian food.” Returning to his presence, she did a slight curtsy as he complimented her place. “Thanks! It was important for me to get my own place and I love how modern it is.” Guiding him to the dining room, Savannah placed the two wine glasses full of Cabernet down onto the glass table.  “So, I made a fresh salad with ingredients from my garden. The pasta sauce for tonight’s dinner was also made with my own tomatoes and basil.” She informed him while taking a seat. “Do you like spicy food?” 

Once she heard the doorbell, the woman sauntered to her front door and swung it open with a large smile on her visage. “Hey! Aw, you brought stuff.” She pointed out while opening the door wider and welcoming him into her home. “Feel free to make yourself at home.” She invited while lifting the bottle of wine from him. “This wine looks amazing. I can’t wait to open it. I hope you like pasta!” She called out while entering the kitchen and using a corkscrew to open the wine bottle. 

Savannah had spent the majority of her day getting things ready for dinner with Evian. Now she was sitting in front of her vanity and applying light makeup to her visage. To finish off her look, she lined her lips then coated them with lip gloss. “I need to get more of this.” She spoke to herself before entering her closet. After she was dressed, the woman made sure to head back to the dining room and ensure the food she prepared was plated beautifully. @vvlegacy
