Final product: Bird's eye view
How it looks: side view.Â
The cost.Â
Just making it work, final connection.Â
Because we didn't have a switch, we needed to manually connect it to the battery before we could make it work. Red wires = +, and the two black wires = -.Â
This was relatively simple because we used electrical tape to secure the black wires and then held the red wire there and it worked!Â

IT WORKED, IT WORKED, IT WORKED!
Our final materials.
The casing!Â
Soldering the wires together! We dutifully enlisted the help of our friendly neighbourhood electrical engineering student to solder the wires together (because we had no idea how & didn't want to be exposed to those chemicals, which we would have if we had gone ahead and used it). This option was safer, functional and we were able to make our project design come to life (which was really cool!)
Of course, we used our design plan and instructions. We realized that a crucial component to all of the videos/instructions we found online was soldering the wires together. Taping them was not working & kept falling apart. And tying them together also kept falling apart, and we didn't believe it was actually a functional method. In order to make this project work, we needed to solder.Â

Our action plan after meeting with the TAs.
Trying to incorporate new ideas/electrical plans into our current design.Â
We were extremely confused/stressed/contemplating emotional eating *see last post* and decided to pay a visit to our lovely TA, Elise. After explaining our situation and enlisting the help of Corbin, we decided that it was unwise to start a new project, and we would power through and attempt to make this work.Â
We decided to put our brains together and keep on at.
The phrase "git r' done" served as a true motivation.Â
Happy group.Â
:)Â
Talyssa trying to be inspirational, after we realize that we're all:
1. Sad
2. Have been working on this all morning to no positive avail.
3. Nothing seems to be working at all, and we have no idea how to change that.Â
4. We're all considering doing some intense emotional eating. Ice cream anyone?Â
Apparently we don't know what we're doing...
