I got a few things to say.
Hey there. Yeah obviously this was a year and stuff, both relating to world events and smaller personal events. I want to touch on the latter here. I really should have said something in March. I didn't. So let's get it out of the way: the entity known as Scavenger Collective is a non-entity. We broke up officially this year, and to say it was an easy process is a lie and then some. It wasn't. For me, it was personally disappointing we never got an album out. Or an EP. Or actually started playing shows. It bugged me, that we never got to any of that, and I had about 50 minutes worth of instrumentals that were very close to done for this. If you want to hear them, it's on my bandcamp. So with that noted, I spent the last 9 months wandering, wondering, what exactly is next? Do I reboot Scavenger with a new singer and spin it off into a new project under the same name, and try to force another leg onto something that was originally two people? Do I just accept this wasn't working and move on with my life, leaving the one thing that is me behind for good? Do I take all of 2021 off and come back in 2022 with something else? Do I think about starting a new project that is perhaps an ego stroke too far and is a solo/producer project that tries to understand about 10 past years of my life in one genreless music project? Well....
Does that sound like a cool idea? Thought so. More coming very soon.
