Say Goodbye to EasyBib Academic
If you’ve used EasyBib through the library’s website, you’ve been using a paid version that gives you access to all of EasyBib’s features, including all the citation styles. Unfortunately, the company that makes EasyBib got sold and the new company is ending access to the EasyBib Academic product that the library purchases. This means that we can no longer offer you access to all of the premium features of EasyBib through the library.
As of July 31st, all accounts in EasyBib will be downgraded to free accounts. For one year, we will have access to a “transitional” product that will be similar to what we currently offer but with less features. After that, you will have to pay for an EasyBib premium account to continue having access to all citation styles.
For those who want to try a different tool for tracking citations, we recommend Zotero, which is a little complex and has a bit of a learning curve but is well worth the time spent to learn it. Mendeley is another free tool that can create citations and create bibliographies, but is also has a bit of a learning curve.
Remember, to create citations you can also use the citations provided in the library databases or in Google Scholar. See our citation guide for more information.
