A couple of birds. Dromornis to the left and Raphus (dodo) to the right.

Been a while since I did a Spinosaurid so I started working on this a while ago. I took some obvious inspiration from crocodilians but threw in some minor birdlike details such as the penguin-like tongue. (This was made before the publication of the new paddle-tail)

This started out as a color and light study but I kinda just kept going and...well...here we are!

A highly detailed piece that took me a while featuring Tyrannosaurus rex based on the latest findings and research regarding tyrannosaridae. Two Archaeopteryx watching their little hatchlings explore the world. Got inspired when watching "Your Dinosaurs Are Wrong" EP#21 and have worked with this piece ever since (if you haven't seen them, check them out at www.youtube.com/channel/UCM8Y_…) and with the recent release of the "Saurian" demo release I thought it would fit with adding some (speculative) parenting to the piece.
