I have 42 minutes left of June, so that means I can still post this.
Sorry for the messier line-art on this one, my hand was cramping a bit for the last few days, but I hope this still suffices :3
I'm using full-colors on this image though, because I want to and also 'tis the season for colors ^^
yes, my sona is currently wearing at least four pride flags, lol.
(I'm demigender, btw, just in case you didn't know what at least one of those flags was, lol.)
(I'm also demiromantic and demisexual, but I only had room for one more flag, so I looked up demiromantic demisexual flag, and this one came up the most.)

My birthday was actually about two (2) and a half hours ago for me, but just pretend this came out on September 17th. I was taking a bit too long with drawing this 🥲
This joke is only funny so long as I post it before September 17th of this year
I had this as an idea for a hypothetical “second half” of the funny post, but I couldn't finish it on time, so now you're getting it extremely late, lol.
Pretend it came out at the same time as the original post, or something, lol.
It's nowhere near my birthday at this moment, but I was so late that I didn't care when posting it, I just wanted the funny to be out of my brain and onto the paper already, lmao.
I had this image in my head for a while, and I finally had the time to draw it, yay :3
Dunno if it's obvious or not, but I kept having trouble with the clouds, but I think I finally got them to look nice 😅
I had a bit of trouble with the angle of the background at first too (for some reason, even though I wanted it to be pointing somewhat skyward, my hands kept drawing the ground out of habit), but I eventually managed to get a clearer image of what I wanted in my head before sketching it out (^-^')
Oh! Also, here's a version with a bit more lighting effects, since I couldn't decide on which one looked better, lol.
This was funnier in my head hghghghghghghghgh (←keyboard smash)
Also, sorry for the simplified colors in this one, my wrist was starting to hurt 🥲
Also, dunno if it's clear or not in the drawings, but my self insert has a bedhead and is wearing a different shirt for sleeping in.
Also yes, they were sleeping on the ground in Subcon Forest. and yes, Moonjumper made the blanket for them. and no, I don't have a good explanation why they were on the ground to begin with, lol.
i just got a new drawing tablet, yay!
getting used to the interface currently, but here's a random drawing i made while practicing with it :3
this character doesn't have a name or anything, i just kinda drew this image randomly while using csp.

anyways what would you guys like, the drinks are on me :D
Anyway, I'm drawing some poses for practice in between, if anyone wants to see what these rough sketches tend to look like.
Here's a fun example about just how unnecessarily complicated I tend to make this for myself, in the form of drawings. These are all from the same practice sketch though (practicing poses using my self-insert character as a base for it), so it's almost definitely not going to show up later, lol.
So, for some reason, even though using stick figures as a base is extremely helpful (and I think it's very useful advice), my brain somehow still seems to get messed with when I use stick figures for poses.
Most of my drawings are made with the idea of them taking place in three (3) dimensional spaces. So sometimes, when I draw a pose that relies on it being in a three (3) dimensional space, the stick figures method tends to mess with my brain a bit.
So instead of stick figures, instead I draw this slightly messy base of lines:
This is an example of a pose, that relies a bit more on the three (3) dimensional space than others (one foot a bit behind the other, back arched backwards a bit, and head looking up slightly).
So, whenever I'm drawing my self-insert for example, I am almost always basing it off of this frail twig lookin' thing, lol
I admit this process is just a bit more tedious than if I had just drawn a stick figure for a base instead, but it helps my brain specifically to work with the shapes a bit better, especially way later down the line when I have to add more details to the drawing.
When I go to add more details, like hair and clothes, I sometimes have to keep in mind what the character is doing and where they're moving to and from, so then I can work off of that.
For example, my self insert character wears a lot of baggy clothes (because I wear baggy clothes in real life, they're just comfy), so I have to make sure that I make the clothes move in a way that shows where the character is moving.
With hair, this also applies in my drawings, but its movements depend on the character and their hair type.
My self-insert character has, to put it simply, messy and somewhat unkempt hair (with the bare minimum of cleanliness and hygiene still being the case, it's just not straightened out or anything), which kind of falls in multiple directions of wherever it feels like going at the time (based on my hair in real life, in case anyone was somehow wondering, haha).
So, for example, the drawing I showed has them walking backwards slightly, and the hair is moving with them, but the air resistance is making the hair sort of get dragged along the front of their head, getting a tiny bit in the way of their face depending on where the camera is in perspective of the scene. And, since the hair is sort of messy and ‘fluffy’ to an extent, one or two of the strands in the back are often poking in different directions than the rest, still keeping the ‘unkempt/unruly hair’ look while still showing the air resistance taking place.
Adding shirts follows a slightly similar logic, where the air resistance makes the looser parts of the fabric get dragged behind the character a bit, but I also have to make sure that a little bit of the shirt's inside is visible, so then the air resistance is a bit more clear, but just a little bit of it. If I add too much to it, then it tends to look like it was in the middle of a wind storm by accident.
Sometimes it's also a bit fun to think about where the edges will be. Drawing baggier clothes is fun (for me at least).
A lot of the time though, this is where my ‘frail-twig base’ from earlier is handy for me, because now I can make sure that some of the shirt's edges are aligned with the body, in a way where they're wrapped around the limb on one side, and leaving air on the other.
Same goes for pants, but I have to make the angles slightly slower where the pants cuffs are, because they're lower in perspective to the camera.
And, whenever I draw two different types of fabrics, that's also a bit fun for me to think about, because I get to think about how the differences in folds and materials look, in the context of the drawing.
For example, when I draw my self-insert character, I like to make the shirt look a bit softer while still looking like a t-shirt (tee shirt?), while I make the pants look comfortable while still looking like cargo or canvas material.
Then I tend to draw my bulky as heck shoes. I'm almost definitely certain that I drew them incorrectly here, but usually I don't quite catch the mistakes until it's already in the line-art cleaning stage. I'm just gonna use the shoes as an example image, even though my brain only now says that they don't look right.
When drawing the shoes on this character, for some reason I like drawing the chunky high-top sneakers, and I especially like to make them bigger than the actual foot itself. I cannot explain why I like doing this, I just think it's a fun visual.
Thank you for taking the time to ride this train of insanity with me, as I gave an unsolicited in-detail description of the hell my brain calls my creative process, and I hope you all have a pleasant day :)
Edit:
I should probably clarify that this is not an art advice post in any way, shape, or form. Everyone's best method of creation is different, and you should do whatever works best for you.
The only purpose of this post is to show what exactly I'm doing specifically, partially to get my thoughts of it into order again (they can get kind of mixed up if I don't talk about them often enough), but also because it's a fun glimpse into the weirdness of how my brain functions with visual stuff like this :'3
I just got this finished, and it's almost 1:30am hgfhgfhgfhgfhgfhgfhgfh
Some of these panels are a bit older than others and some were drawn a bit better than others, so please ignore the random fluctuations in quality ^^' (except for the last one, the last one was drawn like that on purpose because I thought it would look funnier lol)
Lol, seems like you accidentally predicted what this image was meant to be for XD
It was meant for a comic, but didn't have time to complete it until now (whenever this goes public, because I have to add multiple panels using PC instead, and these are drawn on my phone.)
sorry this took so long, i kept having trouble with the pose and my hand kept cramping hhhhhh
also yeah, dunno if it's noticable or not, but the reason that the art style kept changing a bit in each of the panels bit-by-bit in this one was because it took almost two whole years to try and draw through the pain.
i'm free!!! :D
and i have learned my lesson now to never ever make a comic that involves this pose in every single panel unless if it's in a reaallly simplified art style :')
THIS IS SO SWEET I WANT EVERYONE TO SEE THIS!! AAAA
YEAH YOU TAKE CARE OF HIM!!
So sorry I didn’t respond sooner I’ve been neck-deep in readings from Uni
(Maybe I should’ve taken thought about taking two policy classes…)
BUT
OUHERGH THIS MAKES ME WANT!!!
ITS MAKING ME FEEL THINGS STRONGLY
MOONJUMPER YOU SWEET SUCCULENT PRECIOUS BABYGIRL
Wait.
Wow two years?
Actually not bad. Better to get it out there than not though! Sometimes.. projects can last long. And that’s normal!
I’ve had countless ideas that I’ve wanted to draw that dated well beyond that haven’t even been placed on the drawing board yet!
I think this was the best thing you could do for yourself. To take your time.
GRRRRRRRRAWRHRHRHRHRGGRRG
I LOVE THIS TO THE ENDS OF THE UNIVERSE AND BACK RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!
*rips my shirt of in an fit of raging admiration*!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(the realism drawing is not accurate to anything btw, and is just a crappy attempt at drawing myself, as you can probably tell by the fact that I had to draw my hair going over my ears just so I wouldn't have to draw the details of it 🥲)
Edit: oh yeah! And here's the template! (I almost forgot that, oops)
Sorry it's been a while, I was busy with something 🥲
I worked on this for almost a full 24 hours total, but I have a feeling I messed up somewhere here and there.
Sorry if my artstyle is a bit hard to follow here. I tried doing my limited one here, where I only color in the accent colors of each character, but I don't know if it worked as intended. Oh well, lol.
I ended up putting a description into the alt-text in each image, but I have a feeling the wording is a bit scrambled still, but I can't think of how to fix it 🥲
My birthday was actually about two (2) and a half hours ago for me, but just pretend this came out on September 17th. I was taking a bit too long with drawing this 🥲
Here's a really quick comic of the main kid characters from A Hat in Time.
I heard this audio meme on Instagram, and my brain wouldn't leave me alone until I drew it with these guys thjjjighkyhjjh (keyboard smash).
This will most likely never have any significance in my doodles, I just thought it was funny and wanted to doodle it lol.
Please ignore the fact that the quality kept getting dumbed down, my hand started to cramp and I didn't wanna spend any more time on it 🥲
The last panel was gonna be more scribbled, because I thought it would fit the panicking vibe that was supposed to be in here, but I didn't like the way it looked, so I ended up cleaning it up better 😅
