is there a way for an IxFP to work steadily towards their goals instead of falling into a Te-grip then consequently giving up everything after burning out? or is this not related to type?

I would say... set reasonable goals that can be accomplished in a relatively short amount of time, by breaking down larger tasks into smaller chunks ("I am going to finish this in three months, which means I have to get X amount of this done by the end of this month, which means I have to get X amount of this done tomorrow"), and then work on them steadily while also doing other things that are more enjoyable and less related to Te. IE, don't live your goals 24/7, that will cause you to be unlike yourself; live your goals a few hours a day, and be your normal self the rest of it.
