If you're not an SOU student, you're probably seeing this from "studyblr". And I feel like this is a very important message for some of you. If you're an incoming student, if you're coming back to college, whatever.

It's okay to study in your dorm.

This isn't saying you have to study in your dorm. Quite the opposite, in fact.

But you've probably seen it a bunch: don't study in your dorm, you'll be distracted. And I'm here to tell you that it's bullshit for as long as it's something you can do.

Study spaces are different for everyone. Study styles are different for everyone. You can shove yourself into a cafe all you want but you can't make yourself study there if the chair makes you uncomfortable or there's too many people. Your studying doesn't have to be aesthetic or perfect. You don't have to romanticize every little thing. If you have a slobby room, shitty-looking notes, and good grades, that's fine!
