"No context Monday" Tuesday
Thank you so much for the tag as always @phoenixtakaramono <3 <3
This is a smoll snippet from my omegaverse fic hehe
"John, love, are you with me? Hey" William was doing his best to calm his partner. The blond couldn't stop hyperventilating. His eyes were red, but not from his typical laser redness. They were glassy, ββtears accumulating, about to overflow. His face was sweaty, and his hair was starting to get messy. βCome on, isn't this the first time, right? Focus on me" he said, releasing his pheromones with the intention of calming the omega. William's scent was always a delight to him: tobacco and whiskey mixed with a hint of pine, a combination that would normally make him gag. With the alpha, it was never like that. It's not a sweet or sour scent, it's William. Ironically, he always has a good word for everything, but he can never explain beyond the fact that that scent is uniquely his alpha.
Between his own accelerated heartbeat and that of the British man listening in the distance, besides feeling disoriented, he can only see the man's face trying to keep him in orbit. He vaguely hears him following him during some breathing exercises. Trying to follow what he's being told, he begins to notice the subtle scent of the alpha in the air, and fortunately, it helps him calm down.
After a few moments of deep inhalations and his breathing returning to normal, he calms down. Suddenly, an enormous exhaustion invades his body, which is curious "I've never felt like this before" he thinks. He went from feeling like his head was about to explode to feeling empty and like he was floatingβnot literally, fortunatelyβ. He let himself fall on top of the British man and felt strong arms wrap around his body. Homelander is the least likely person to say he needs protection, but in this moment, William's arms feel exactly like that, a protection, from reality, from his own mental chaos, from everything and everyone.
