that’s kind of a big shocking leap from wee lil murder bean threatening Negan to beautiful murder lamb threatening him. there’s definitely a palpable tension in the scenes that were directly ported from the comics into the show. Like maybe they should have tinkered with some of that? (no they shouldn’t have and I love it so much omg but it’s so gaygaygay how did they not see it? maybe on paper it didn’t look like that but there is so much goddamn sexual tension???????) it’s one thing to be saying all this ‘have a look at all these my ladies’ titties, sing me a song,’ shit to a 10-12-whatever year old but it kinda takes on a whole different thing when Carl’s older (and I know they kept saying he was supposed to be 14 to split the difference and their own lack of time continuity but come on, no, once that beautiful boy shot past 16 he couldn’t play at younger as well anymore so Carl might as well be older too).

and how Negan just slings his arm around those bony shoulders and leads him away and Carl just goes??? Just tucks himself right into that leather jacket warmth and lets Negan steer him around like he’d never let anyone else ever do???? ugh god fuck everything. I don’t know what the director of that episode envisioned but I would like to shake their hand for letting this shit just run wild.
