As a multisite church we have 14 campuses on four continents. All of our campuses have both the large group and small group strategy installed in a well defined system with the highest priority set in place. The quality of the systems will vary but not because of a different strategies but other factors such as logistics and staffing.
In my observation the mid-size and individual size groups don't have well defined strategies at our campuses and it is very inconsistent at best. The original campus has many options for midsize groups but most of those events are not aligned to accomplish the strategy of building more small group connections. The individual segment is available in dozens of forms from pastoral care to key health component classes and seminars. Once again these are ministries that come and go as God leads but not as a part of the funnel package.
Our strategy is built on six concentric circles with a class system that drives the strategy. During my meeting with my mentor, Chris Reed, I showed him the graphic of Randy's assimilation strategy and it blew his mind. He showed me something he is working on that was the same strategy to a T. His perspective was through the lens of small group and connection health. So it makes sense that the Saddleback “Fellowship” Team is mirroring what the Rockbridge Fellowship courses is teaching. I have attached his graphic to this post so that you can
