In honour of Canada’s 150th Anniversary, I’m uploading some fabulous Canadian born actresses of the 1910s-20s…starting with one of my favourites, Marie Prevost. Marie Prevost (November 8, 1896 – January 21, 1937) was born in Sarnia, Ontario, and over a twenty year career made 121 silent and talking pictures. Her career took off in 1915 when Mack Sennett had her sign with Keystone, but her talent extended beyond the comedic and she went on to give excellent performances in films such as 1929′s The Godless Girl.
