Just finished Chain of Iron. Here are my thoughts: (includes spoilers)
Everything about Matthew breaks my heart
Why dear lord are all the charecters so so so bad at making decisions. Why do none of them even make one good decision. It pains me. It pains me.
If only Cordelia had not run off
If only James had said ANY OTHER WORDS when Grace came to his house
If only Matthew had waited twenty fcking minutes
If only Lucie wasn't going around dilly dallying with ghosts and fiddling with necromancy and keeping sO many secrets from her absolutely wonderful parents
If only they had more than one collective braincell that Christopher keeps most of the time
If Cassandra Clare continues to use miscommunication as a primary plot device for the next book I will lose my mind
If something happens between Matthew and Cordelia I will lose my mind
In chain of thorns, I hope to see:
James explain himself to Cordelia and Matthew first and them understanding and them realising they are meant to be. James explaining everything to the whole gang. Them throwing another, small wedding and getting their second set of runes
Matthew forgiving himself and letting his secret come all out. Matthew getting real help with his drinking problem.
Cordelia's connection with Lilith being broken
Magnus Bane. The real one. Please. I am begging you @cassandraclare
A satisfactory ending to the Lucie plotline, preferably one that inclued her letting go of Jesse.
Perhaps a Grace redemption arc.
Lucie and James coming clean to their parents and swearing on river Styx and angel Raziel to never lie to or keep anything from them ever again
Thomas and Alastair declaring undying love for each other
A happy ending for Ariadne, with or without Anna. Preferably with Anna.
Magnus. Please. Lots of magnus.
