I've been doing sketches of some characters from Genshin Impact and thought of experimenting on the technique that I've just learned on my previous post.

So far it's been fun doing it and I like how I can play with the values as much as the colors. There's a specific style that I'm trying to go for and I will continue on experimenting on this and develop my own style.

So I learned something new this week and decided to try it out on one of my Genshin Impact sketches.

I go with the usual sketch and lineart and then do the grayscale.

To be honest, it's really easier to do one layer for the shading than doing multiple layers. Plus it saves up a lot of space instead of doing individual layers.

This japanese art youtuber was my key to learning this technique.

This is really helping me a lot and I like doing this so far. The only problem would be that the grayscale isn't always accurate when colored. Some spots would end up looking muddy. But all in all, it keeps me going.

To color this in, just add a new layer and clip it to the lineart and base layer and then put the blending mode on Overlay!

I have to admit, this one turned out to be better than I thought. I added a layer above the overlay layer and set the blending mode to overlay again for enhancement of the colors. This is pretty experimental so you can play around with the colors.

Overall, I'm happy with the result and I really glad and felt motivated to do this again soon.

Is it just me or did my prayers went through to Lord Barbatos? Because apparently, Childe is going to be next to Venti's banner~ A bit of a good news for me!

Hello everyone! Belated happy new year!!

! I finally finished this commissioned artwork. This was my last commission in 2020 and I only finished it this year. I know it took so long but I took my time.

I was actually struggled because I used only my phone and IbisPaint app. And I made a mistake of making the canvas so big. Plus I got limited storage so it was very laggy and crashes a lot.

Not to mention that my phone's OS updated which made it even more challenging.

I've got comments on how the left arm looks thinner than the right one. But I figured I couldn't change that since I already took a lot of time from it to the point that I almost got tired of it.
