SO INSTEAD OF FAIRY TALES OF PRINCES SAVING PRINCESSES, MARY TELLS DEAN STORIES ABOUT ANGELS AND THIS ONE PARTICULAR ANGEL WHO SHE SAYS WILL ALWAYS GUARD HIM AND PROTECT HIM NO MATTER WHAT, THAT THIS ANGEL LOVES HIM VERY MUCH, AND THAT THIS ANGEL IS PROMISED TO HIM.

SO DEAN HAS ALWAYS BEEN BRAVE BECAUSE HE TAKES COMFORT IN THE STORIES HIS MOM HAS TOLD HIM; THAT HE HAS THIS ANGEL ON HIS SHOULDER WHO WILL ALWAYS BE THERE FOR HIM,  SAVE HIM WHEN HE GETS INTO TROUBLE, AND SPEND HIS “HAPPILY EVER AFTER” WITH HIM. BUT DEAN DOESN’T THINK THE STORIES ARE REAL. THOSE ARE JUST STORIES THAT HIS MOM TELLS HIM TO HELP HIM SLEEP BETTER AT NIGHT. SECRETLY THOUGH, HE HOPES THEY’RE REAL.

BUT THEN HE FINDS HIMSELF IN HELL AND HE’S LOSING HIS FAITH IN EVERYTHING. AND HE HATES HIMSELF FOR EVEN REMOTELY BELIEVING IN THOSE STORIES, WHICH HE’S FINDING, ARE COMPLETE BULLSHIT. THERE’S NO ONE LOOKING OUT FOR HIM. HE’S ALONE.

ALL OF A SUDDEN, A BRIGHT LIGHT ERUPTS AND THERE’S A HAND ON HIS SHOULDER AND HE’S RESCUED FROM PERDITION AND EVERY VARIATION OF IT.

i have a theory on why nyaa fell for oso even harder when she realised how shit he is. when we saw her husband he seemed very charismatic...kind of stereotypical perfect rich guy. she goes into a relationship with him and then obviously he turns out to be a piece of shit, hence the divorce. im p certain the divorce was bcs she got pregnant and he didnt want kids or something but anyway. he was this "perfect guy who turned out to be a piece of shit".

on the other hand she meets osomatsu. hes straight up a piece of shit, he doesnt hide it, he doesnt try and sugarcoat it, he knows full well and embraces it. this is change from her husband who seemed like the perfect guy who turns out to be a shit. osomatsu is awful but hes honest. he lays his cards out on the table and u know what u r getting. its refreshing. he doesnt lie about who he is, what he is. hes just osomatsu and its simple. theres nothing more, nothing less. hes just a normal asshole. he doesnt try to impress her, he doesnt try to shower her in compliments and treat her in anyway like that. he just treated her like a human being and i think due to her history of her marriage and just being in the idol business in general, this is something she wanted and needed.
