Well in rock sibbs, teenage Branch was fine. He was maybe slightly moody on occasion but he was fine.

They would be a nightmare for BroZone. Holly would be picking a fight with them every ten minutes.

Lownote would constantly be saying "Baby you know I can just teleport directly to him and use my anti-diamond ray on this." and John would keep saying "Yeah thats great, bro." without even listening.

End result: sugar overdoses and hyperactive high children bouncing off the walls and tasting colors.

Come to think of it, I don’t think I even SEEN a vegetable they eat besides that one garden episode and the marshtato episode. Ik Branch has a balanced & more meat based diet now, but did any pop fosters even TRY to make him a healthy meal aka not dessert sugar based?

That's okay! I know it's a very common trope for kids movies for there to be "Harmless thing is like drugs/alcohol". Gravity Falls is an example of that, and then there's the Spongebob movie with ice cream. This isn't the first time the topics become a point of interest for anons and I'm not mad.

Honestly the "candy as drugs" tends to be more of an allegory for stuff like acid or mushrooms or something, not the kind of things my family has a history with, but I'm still finnicky about it.

Honestly I'm struggling to remember an actual vegetable as well. There's many fruits, but all I can remember vegetable wise that was actually edible was the cheery glo-mato.

I looked through one of my Trolls books, which are like... tertiary canon (being the movies and the shows) and they mention a fuzzy bean but the name doesn't mean much because otherwise a jelly bean would be a vegetable.

So his foster parents WERE making healthy meals, don't get me wrong. The issue Branch had wasn't that they were unhealthy, because Pop Trolls (in my works) require an ABSURD amount of sugar, which they get through desserts and fruit-forward meals.

I 100% agree that Branch should have been the Pop ambassador. The show already made the effort of including Branch in the ambassador meetings (the explanation being that he took minutes), so they could have just made him the ambassador.

I suppose the reason being that they wanted Poppy to be included in the ambassador meetings but she still could have been? Poppy could have been there because she's literally the queen of Pop Village and the overseer of the Trollstopia project. Poppy could have been at meetings to deliver relevant news to the ambassadors.

Dante: Is everything alright my friend? You look quite flushed.

Branch: Yes I am alright, it just seems that Queen Poppy as asked for my hand in marriage.

Dante: Isn't she the one you harbor an infatuation for?

Branch: I wouldn't be so bold to go quite that far but... Yes.

Dante: Well then, I believe congratulations are in order then?

Classical Branch: Pardon me, father, beloved friend of mine, but my Pop Troll bloodline requests it's own traditional response to this news and I do hope it does not offend you.

Classical Branch: *clutches the note and jumps up and down squealing*

I think he tries to do the gruff dad thing where you stare at them with an unreadable expression for WAY too long, but Trollex doesn't even notice. He just keeps talking to Peppy about random stuff.

The curious thing is that Branch doesn't actually feel any resentment towards King Peppy, because no one ever made him see how much the king affected his situation. In fact, I'd even venture to say that Branch would furiously defend King Peppy from his non-parents.
