Imagine if Simon ended up on Erid, with mutations that gave him the ability to survive in the atmosphere outside the biodome. Imagine he has no idea that Grace is there, has no idea that the Eridians are friendly, and he's just scampering around on Erid, ducking out of sight whenever an Eridian gets close and trying to find new places to hide so he doesn't get eaten by what he assumes is more monsters.

Imagine Simon becomes Erid's first cryptid

#Eridians try to snag a picture of him to show Grace #but their camera technology is still pretty nee #and every photo is a blurry mess a la Nessie and bigfoot photos #plus with Simon's mutations he doesn't look human at all in the pics #so Grace is pretty sure this is a weird practical joke the Eridians are playing on him #until the day Simon actually stumbles across the dome #and Grace just looks up and sees Simon pressed against the clear Xenonite looking in #lookin like a creep because hes overwhelmed by the sight of light and WATER #he hasnt even noticed Grace yet #so Grace just sees this looming thing thats not Eridian lurking out in the shadows outside his dome #with sharp teeth #and just SCREAMS #<- ops tags #op you can't hide this absolute gem in the tags oh my gods #this is so fucking funny i love it #bloodymary #phm #project hail mary #iron lung
