Pretty incredible example of inquiry-based introduction to the ‘anatomy’ of circles as functional tools. This lesson was recorded in Shanghai, translated by graduate students at Vanderbilt. 40+ students in the room, but the concept of “radius,” “infinity,” and relationship between circles and other regular polygons is introduced through a simple task: how can we cut out a circle?
