So it has become fairly clear that I’ve given up on Dave here for a while. First it was something big and personal that had gone on in my life and left me almost, dare I say, unable to function. Then it was the stress of living in an abusive environment, and eventually making the transition to somewhere safer.

So it has become fairly clear that I’ve given up on Dave here for a while. First it was something big and personal that had gone on in my life and left me almost, dare I say, unable to function. Then it was the stress of living in an abusive environment, and eventually making the transition to somewhere safer.

Over time, I’d log on and scroll through, attempting to write an excuse for why David had been gone for so long. It took me a while to realize that the reason I hated him so much, why I was always putting him in harmful situations, was because he was an extension of me.

To clarify: I took all the bad things I didn’t like about myself and applied them to his character. The depression, the dysphoria, the low self-esteem, the anxiety, and how often he sought validation.

I’m not sure what I’m going to do with him. I just know that for now this blog is on temporary hiatus.
