(tagged by @mintsugarr and @cosyserendipity!! thank you, i enjoyed reading yours so much!! elena buying children books and sonja keeping photos and tickets legit made me so emotional, you two are genuinely so sweet and iโm sending you a big hug.๐ฅบ)
The goal here is to think of one of your idols and chose the idol whom you share the most similarities with. Itโs not the โoh we share the same birthday, favourite colour, same age..โ, you know? You gotta think deeper than that hehehe.

I find myself quite similar to both, Taehyung and Namjoon, however, since we all know much more about BTSโs rapline, Iโll go with Joon.
Iโll begin with how Namjoon has described himself as a metacognitive person, which I believe myself to be. At times Iโve cut time out of hobbies so I could sit and introspect both, the emotions I felt in the recent past and me at the core. I think my thoughts are also the reason I feel a deep melancholy rooted within me and it would be better if Iโd rather not contemplate about myself and the universe & itโs aspects, however I wouldnโt be me without my thoughts. I cannot imagine a life where I donโt ponder about my emotions and otherโs.
Pupils of nature & nature lovers. Trees & flowers teach me a lot. Plum blossoms, willows, azaleas, narcissuses, bougainvillea and every flower, every tree. Animals and plants inspire me. I remember when a teacher asked a 14 year old me who my favourite teacher(s) were and while the entire class replied with names of teachers and/or their parents or older siblings, I was the only one who didnโt name a human. I said โtime and nature.โ It is true that both these things have been my greatest teachers.
Lovers of tiny things. I swear if you leave me and Joon together, weโd end up shoplifting kidโs stores and get EVERY TINY THING.
Namjoon is a science enthusiast. He embeds science in romantic lyrics, two popular examples being the lyrics he wrote for Serendipity (where he highlighted its definitionโs emphasis on chance by alluding to the discovery of penicillium/ blue mould, the antibiotic penicillin being the first antibiotic to be discovered by CHANCE) and TXTโs LOVESONG from the Chapter, Freeze, where he seamlessly puts in concepts of thermodynamics that ties both physics and physical chemistry together. Further, the few excerpts from other writings too, has shown his tendency of using properties of elements to describe himself. I too, am a huge science enthusiast and have written stuff for particular people using elements and their properties, and Iโd made notes of a chapter into lyrics and then memorised it [I have no recollection of the lyrics nor the melody but I remember the entire chapter :p].
History enthusiasts, to understand both the cultural as well as evolutionary sequence (in terms of art). Both of us appreciate and think about art a lot. So, art (/history) enthusiasts as well.
BOOKWORMS! Both of us are huge bookworms, and like him, Iโm a huge fan of Banana Yoshimoto and Han Kang as well. Iโve read some of the books heโs suggested as well as some other books by writers he has praised and I have to say, his taste is wonderful. Although not exactly same, but our choices are quite similar.
Prose & poetry enthusiast. If Namjoon didnโt love (hiphop and) rap, he has said he wanted to write prose & poetry. And although Iโve started much later than him, exploring the writer in me on a broad basis, I do want to write prose and poetry. I want to build a maze with my prose and lose myself in there with poetry. If Iโve come closest to being honest, it is in this place where I have been so.
And wordplays. I love wordplays, language & linguistics.
Our dry sense of humour. Youโll find me on the floor, bawling my eyes out at pup-pees while everyone lets that lame joke slide, cuz thatโs my type of humour. I laugh at almost everything but dry sarcastic and musical-sexual jokes are the only ones I can make.
Our love for Plato (Mikrokosmos) and philosophy (apart from platosโ, his recommended book, Walden. Walden is too consuming and long, but itโs mainly about Henry David Thoreau finding idealistic human behaviours in nature, during the two years he spent isolated from his home. Heโs a key figure in the development of the American movement of Transcendentalism, a concept explored thoroughly in Bhagavadgita, written between 2BC to 2 AD, which is now a part of Hindu holy scriptures).
As my above point would emphasise, I have a tendency to ramble about my culture. Quite like my favourite ENFP boy (I actually love ENFPs, usually).
Rain. Rain, rain, rain is our friend that protects us and hides our sadness. Many times, it felt as if the skies cried with me.
The way we love. Joonโs lyrics show it very well that he feels and gives both, the universal sort of love as well as the love between two people. His love for a specific person doesnโt stray far from a hopeless romanticโs ideals, just like me. Also, his understanding of love always has a cynical tinge, which I prefer to call practical, or that maybe a biased opinion since Iโm not ready to deem myself as lowkey paranoid.
Our self hatred, the eternal loneliness we feel, being the only ones who can console ourselves and our efforts to be there for others and help them love themselves. I wonโt expand on this, his songs show enough.
The way we are simultaneously the most responsible and childish people in a room full of people around our age.
God(s) of destruction. I had a similar nickname, โek ka teenโ since I was 9 months old. The word translated to 1-to-3, and it was basically to depict how I could break every singular object into 3 parts. Iโve broken toys, door handles, credit cards and so much more.
Kitchen klutz. Equally clueless. I know nothing but to eat, describe the flavour perfectly and say thank you.
Clueless about the real world. I learnt to tie laces when I was 13 and yet I just got my mom to tie them up and slip my feet inside cuz Iโd tie so poorly that the knot would come off in a few hours. When I tell you this, and the prior one has to be the complete fault of our parents for pushing us towards studies and only studies, just cuz we are gifted enough to find education easy, Iโm not lying.
Ending this long rant here for this could go on & on & on, Iโll just conclude it here cuz I could talk about our similarities for days if you let me dissect his lyrics and the books & poems heโs influenced A LOT by, and lay all the things heโs said on plate.

Well thank you, cause I love talking about this!
So my being a k-pop stan and making it a part of my life literally began with this.
So it's Min Yoongi/Suga/AgustD of BTS.
Basic similarities:
โ We both have a cat like personality
โ Looks like they can kill, can actually kill
Eh, dumb
Anyways, so-
It was when I first listened to the songs(not in order) Daechwita, Dynamite, Fire and then straight up shifted to D-2 and Agust D.
And I realised all of his songs have a similar thing. Like we all know, he talks about himself in his music. His struggles, his past, and his struggles living in a supposedly perfect life too.
And the best example is The Last. I have never been actually diagnosed or something, it's just what I feel from his lyrics? Social anxiety, depression, I won't say it's real I might not actually go through this. But I might be too right?
Habitual saying uh
I don't give a shit I don't give a fuck
All those words uh
Those words are said to hide my weak self
Those days I wish I could erase
Right, that performance day
Which I don't remember very well
The day I confronted myself
When I hid inside the toilet
Because I was scared of people
That time I, that time I
I thought success will make everything fine
But you see, but you see
As time goes by, I feel like I'm turning into a monster
I relate to this lyrics hell a lot.
And that's not it, all of his music where he talks about his experiences. The raw voice that he uses to bring the best of his emotions. I relate to them all.
And next comes his passion for music. This man genuinely loves music and his greatest escape from reality is music and his reason to exist is music too.
As a kid, I wasn't interested to singing and related at all. I nearly hated it, cause I was too involved in art. Anyways the more I grow up, my existence is literally being knitted with music.
It's not really a similarity, but I just know if Yoongi was my friend we would have totally spent our time just creating music that would make an impact to at least one person.
I couldn't write it all though. But still, his every work makes me feel more deserving. โIf he can go this far, I can be something too right?โ
