Kylie smiled and followed the other as they headed back to the house. “i’ve been here for about a month now i think” she said. “are you liking it here so far?”the girl asked.

He was a little surprised at how long she had been on the island, it seemed like too long to be still enjoying it. “That’s a long time, do you like being on the island?” he asked, genuinely curious. “I am...so far it’s been pretty cool. I live with Olivia and Nova so that’s always a good time. They’re fun.”

“Don’t tell me what to do.” Sebastian grumbled, “And do not use the word grumpy. I am not grumpy.” He argued, despite his usual grumpy expression. “Why don’t you walk away ha?”

“You seem pretty grumpy, my man.” Mason disagreed, a goofy grin stuck on his lips the entire time he was talking to the stranger. “Why would I? I’m not the one being bothered and I’m enjoying this...you’re the one who’s bothered.”

“i’ve done some pretty crazy, unsafe things under the influence of vodka, i’ll tell you that, bro,” nick laughed at his own thoughts. “we got some fancy, shit glasses to put this in then? or we drinking from the bottle?”

“Oh yeah? Vodka just does something to you to make you crazy?” Mason questioned, smiling at the thought. Grabbing the bottle he handed it to the other guy, “I normally drink from the bottle, but if you’d prefer a fancy glass I’m sure I can find one down stairs?”

“uh…yeah, i don’t believe we have. it’s a pleasure, mason. i’m dalton,” he shook his hand with a small smile and a nod. “you’re new, perhaps?”

“Nice to meet you, Dalton.” He smiled. Once he had shaken the other guys hand he dropped his hands and put them in his pockets, “Yeah I just got here a little while ago, I still haven’t met many people outside of the girls I live with. Have you been here a while?”

as he slid the ice cream over to her, she opened up the carton and took the spoon he handed to her. “Oh no, I’m used to eating it straight from the carton to be honest.” Olivia laughed as she ate a spoonful of ice cream. “So where are you from?” She asked turning slightly on the counter so she could face him.

Smiling at her words he nodded, “Me too, why get a bowl dirty when it comes in it’s own bowl.” He laughed a bit. Taking a bite of the ice cream he looked over at her when she spoke up again. “San Fransisco, what about you? Where are you from?” Mason asked, copying her actions as he turned to face her.

“I am not mad!” Sebastian barked back quickly before realizing that doing so probably only served to make him seem even more upset. His expression faltered for a quick second but the scowl never left his features. “You are bothering me right now and I do not like to be bothered. Simple.”

“Like I said...my bad, man.” Mason smiled, “You do know that you don’t need to be so grumpy right? You could just walk away and not be bothered anymore..” He laughed, shaking his head at the guy.

“why vodka?” he followed him. “you’ve just got a preference or?”

Letting the other guy into his room he glanced around before finding the bottle, “I’m not really sure, I think most people just like it...it’s a pretty safe option. I guess.”

“i’m cool, it’s fine, mate,” dalton chuckled lightly, shaking his head as he spoke. “are you though?”

“Yeah, I’m fine..” He shrugged, looking down at himself just to be sure. “I’m Mason, by the way- I don’t think we’ve met?” he offered out his hand, to shake.

Olivia nodded her head as she moved to sit up on the counter. “Mhm, it’s from ben and jerrys. They have his and Stephen Colberts. I think they have someone else but I can’t think who it is but Jimmy’s is the best hands down.” She told him and then shrugged. “I don’t really think there is anything nearby. I don’t actually go out and venture.”

Moving past her he leaned down and opened the freezer, they had so many different flavors he had to actually really look to find the flavors he wanted. “It sounds fucking amazing, I’m going to have to try it sometime.” He nodded, turning to face her again he slid the ice cream over toward her and then found a spoon and handed it to her as well. Climbing up next to her he opened up his own tub and stuck his spoon in it. “Oh, I’m sorry, did you want me to scoop it into a bowl?” He asked, realizing that’s probably what she had expected. 

kylie smiled at the other. “it sounds like a plan to me” she said. “It’s nice to meet you Mason. I’m Kylie”

Mason was relieved when she agreed, glad that he could actually do something nice for her. “It’s nice to meet you too, Kylie. How long have you been here?” he asked, making conversation as they walked back to the place he was staying

“Hm, have you ever tried Jimmy Fallons ‘the tonight dough?’ because it’s so fucking good.” Olivia laughed as they finally reached the house. “It’s basically everything good in the world. It’s peanut butter cookie dough. Regular cookie dough. Then some brownies.”

Holding the door for Olivia he closed it behind them and walked straight to the kitchen, “Are you kidding me? I didn’t even know that was a ice cream flavor?!” Mason was shocked, “That sounds so fucking good. Is there a store near by? Are we even aloud to leave?” he questioned, suddenly wondering if he was able to leave the area.
