to be able to survive, we all need access to resources like food, water, and medicine. global economic structures ensure that most people don't have access to these resources, so we must sustain constant effort to convince those with money to share with us so that we can survive.

for those who are disabled by the conditions of their lives and bodies, who cannot perform paid labor, who cannot write beautiful words requesting help every day--how are they supposed to survive in this system? they're not. the whole world allows them to die. this is social murder, eugenics, genocide.

to be disabled is to have something done to you. it is not simply a fact of the body. my friend Fadel (@fadel-dani) was born with a blood disorder, but it is only when he is denied access to medication and nutrition that he begins fainting. he experiences chronic pain from his injuries, but this pain cannot be divorced from its social causes: the bombing his home and systematic destruction of Gaza's healthcare system.
