Barry was ready to hurriedly offer an apology as he held out his hand to her but he was startled when she suddenly shouted out. “ Wow — I’m so sorry.” He stuck his hand out again to help her up, feeling terrible since it seemed he had already made a shit day worse for the young woman. The male himself had just been on his way to grab a coffee at normal speed since his team had been advising him to take it slow lately.

“Don’t touch me,” the young woman hissed, her own gloved hand smacking his away. A few too many induced deaths in her youth had left her with a bit of an aversion to physical contact when not on the job. Pushing herself to her feet, Reagan did her best to brush the dirt turned mud from her clothes, muttering angrily under her breath. “I don’t like to be touched.”

Perhaps if she’d been a little less focused on hating the universe and little more focused on the man coming her way, the collision could’ve been avoided. Sadly, that wasn’t meant to be, and she found herself stumbling backwards only to land on her ass on the cold sidewalk. “Officially fucking done with today!”

One more glance down at the man that had died in front of him made his final decision. His heart ached for the stranger, regardless of whatever reasons she had sought him out to kill, Barry would still lose sleep over another person he had failed to save. “Leave. Now,” he ordered. The least he could do was make sure the cops got here to retrieve the body and add another place to their growing list of her crime scenes.

Once it was clear he had no plans of laying a finger on her - smart boy - Reagan moved back to squat over the man. “Just one more quick little thing,” she whispered, pulling her work phone from a hidden pocket. One snapshot with a scythe emoji later, and she was making her way to the door. “Until we meet again, lover” she called back to the other over her shoulder, blowing a kiss before disappearing back into the night.
