oh man. radar getting jesus to bless his teddy bear?? radar is just an 18 year old sent as far away from home as a guy can go, looking for anything to keep him safe. his teddy bear keeps him safe in those long nights of bombs falling. of course he wants it blessed for extra safety.

Watching M*A*S*H for the first time and the themes really do be theming. What do you mean Trapper’s writing a letter to his daughter about how they patch up soldiers but “They don't ever seem to stop coming.” What do you mean he writes “I’d like to be able to tell you when I’m coming home” and the record next to him starts to skip. What do you mean it repeats the same little warped bit of what once might have been music, over and over and over in a twisted display of its intended purpose, caught in a meaningless loop what do you MEAN

I love Larry Linville's acting. He took a character who's a terrible person that the audience is meant to hate and played him so that you're never angry that he has screen time. I never think 'ugh, Frank is in this episode.' He even manages to make him seem sympathetic on the rare occasion. Maybe it's because he always loses to Hawkeye, but I'm always impressed because in my mind it's a lot harder to play daffy duck than it is to play bugs bunny.
