It was in the forest on the mountaintop overlooking the city of Bergen in Norway. I had played on the troll playground and had fallen in the ice for the umpteenth time. My clothes were soaked through and my gloves were laden with cold water and pine needles, but I can hardly remember a time in the last most stressful years when I felt so free. I was refreshed, and freezing, and breathing in the cold mountain air. I didn’t feel a thing but the ache in my cheeks from smiling so wide.
