i do love blasting it as much as i can near the end of my runs….. i am wary of doing this early on because i don’t want to wind myself and wreck my run. but on mile 7 or 8 out of 9 who caressss weeeeeeeee

#googled it and apparently this is actually a real strategy. look at me.

this is what my pace looks like. i think if you ignored that chunk around mile 3 where i took a decently long break and started googling shit my pace would be a fair bit higher but even so it’s pretty weak. i don’t run for speed or even track it consistently, i spent fully half of this run doing italian lessons, so that’s something i need to work on. but i need to figure out how to get faster.

#i think when i have limited time im going to try to Run Fast for 3-4 miles #like do three miles keeping it under 9

tell me why i made a dentist appointment for 9 AM right after getting back from the west coast….

#well at least it’ll help jettison me back to eastern time

can i say something mean. he was not good enough in bed for me to seriously entertain the possibility of roster depth.

also i am getting ghosted by this boy. this was predictable and i really feel like i got professionally strung along but omg lol. every fucking time.

my sister keeps spamming me about our cabo verde trip which is apparently happening in a few months and like woman i need to worry about my trip in A Week !

#i tried to back out or gently suggest somewhere else / easier and she got Extremely Upset so that didn't work

well today i: - ordered a new phone plan and new phone (will finally have an iphone 17 instead of this barely working SE) - bought two new sports bras - ran nine miles and got through a lesson and a half of italian in doing so - ordered a water filter and water purification tablets - emailed hotel in switzerland about extending the stay a night - attempted to research trains and got overwhelmed - concluded buying trekking poles in europe is probably the most logical thing to do re: the trekking pole situation - booked myself a laser facial to try to deal with some of this sun damage - thought about other things and got overwhelmed

there are sooo many things i need to do for my trip i'm leaving for in A Week

safe to say mama pidge survived my two week absence

god dude i need to learn some german just so i don't get unbelievable anxiety and terror every single time i set foot in a german-speaking space.

#like any latin-based language even if i don't 'know' or 'speak' it i can figure it out #german i just feel like it might as well be mandarin chinese ykwim.

trying to decide what to do about the trekking pole situation. the thing is these things can be life or death or at least injury causing equipment if they malfunction on a tough slope, so i really don't love the thought of buying cheap ones. but when i look at prices of trekking poles vs renting maybe i should just buy, and then i could have them for the full trip. maybe i could give them to a friend after or try to pawn them, i don't know.

my mom got me a little half litre nalgene and i'm very happy with it

#i have this horrible habit of drinking out of disposable plastic water bottles and reusing them constantly #which is not so good for thee microplastics in my system #this one is small and relatively lightweight and but still holds a decent amount and doesn't bang up like a metal bottle

well having done some more research sounds like i should leave the baby be, it might be using my balcony as a "fledgling zone" playground where it can learn to flap its wings and practice flying before taking off. i'll keep a close eye on it from a distance over the next few days. i've taken it out of the box and put it back outside.

#its crop did feel relatively full i think which is encouraging
