he is soooo cute!

standing in the middle of the dressing room, curtain wide open while you blabber about his “color palette”. he has no idea what that even means but your eyes are shiny and your lips are painted with a smile he can’t deny.

“i can’t figure out if you’re a winter or an autumn” you tilt your head while you hold up a dark blue button down and a maroon one, debating which of the two makes his eyes pop the most.

“i was born in summer baby you know that” he grunts, hands hitching down his sides to grab you and get the hell out from that dressing room.

you giggle shaking your head and placing the dark blue shirt on top of his chest “i know that silly… i meant as colors undertones”

pope blinks, still not really getting what’s going on in your bright mind “try this on please?” you coo.

“baby that’s the tenth shirt i’ve put on” he complains but still takes off his shirt, revealing his muscled, freckled chest.

“but this is a different one c’mon!” your manicured nails help him with the buttons and with the collar, fixing it with the pads of your fingers. you look at his reflection in the mirror and nod your head “yup! you’re definitely a winter”

Jack does not figure it out, he has no clue why you look at him so much or why he catches you staring from the other side of the er. but he ones overheard Ellis teasing you, something about a coworker, amd he can't help but walk a little slower to hear a bit more.

"shut up, he is our attending" you yell in a whisper, trying to keep Ellis from shouting at the whole pittsburgh how patheticly flustered you get when Abbots scrubs hug his arms just the right way.

"but you stare at him like he isn’t, he is clueless, don't worry" she winks at you before leaving your side.

Jack felt his ego boost that night and he can't help but to show off a bit. like never getting bigger scrubs, never. he makes sure that you are watching when he carries something from one side to the other, he crosses his arms over his chest more, smirking at the sight of you trying to look at him in the eyes.

"i should put the donuts aside" he says one morning at the park, his leg tired, low voice and messy hair "the scrubs are getting tight"

"what? no-" you blur out, too tired to think before speaking "i mean, you can get bigger ones..."

Jack lets out a quiet laugh "so it was me you and Ellis were talking about, uh?"
