-If one thing is true it’s this: James Buchanan Barnes is a huge family man. His heart is that of gold and he cares a lot about those he loves. 

-The idea of children was a scary topic at first. So for a little while in the early stages of marriage, children were very hush hush.

-The two of you making a vow to fight by each other’s sides, but also knowing when the other needs to fight alone. Not every battle the other faces is necessarily their battle- sometime’s they need to do it alone.

-But one thing is certain, Bucky will always melt into your arms after every mission.

-Cuddles. Lots and lots of cuddles. 

- Not to mention dancing. He really loves dancing in the kitchen with you while you two wait for your meal to be done.

-He really loves saying “my wife” it makes him feel somewhat normal. It reminds him of the American dream (beautiful wife, beautiful kids, patriotic BBQ’s, the whole nine yards.)

-Lots of stealing his clothes. 

-Definitely showering together simply because you can. 

-Steve being a little annoyed by you two, but ultimately loving you both. 

-Calling him “old man” to push his buttons. 

-Late night rides on the back of his bike.

-The idea of children being brought up by him. It would’ve happened on the fourth of July (Happy Birthday Mr. America.) and you two would’ve been at the park having a late night picnic to watch the fireworks. And all of the children would be running around, playing with their sparklers and eating watermelon. 

“I want that.” He whispers longingly. 

You look up from your sandwich and see him staring at the laughing children. 

“A sparkler?” You tease, brushing your shoulder against his. 

He chuckles softly and directs his attention to you, his steely eyes overcome with emotion. 

“Would you like a family, doll?” He asks, scared of what you might answer. 

“I want you,” You keep your voice low, not wanting anyone to realize who you two are. “And if you want a family, then let’s do it. But if not, I still love you.” 

He smiles, his warm hand coming up to caress your cheek. He leans in, his kiss warm and languid against your own. 

-When you two had first met Bucky had been rather distant. It was almost like a game of “how close can I get?” But in all actuality, he was scared to let you too close- scared he’d hurt you, lose you, 1000 scenarios he’d created in his head. 

-Eventually he stopped pulling away from you (Thanks, Steve.) 

-He’s very protective of you. You’re his ray of sunshine in the cold uncertainty of his life. Sure, he lets you handle the things that you’re capable but as soon as you need it, he’s stepping.

-He’s a huge softy for you. He melts into your embrace, hangs onto your every word, and you’re his only weakness. 

-You two don’t leave the tower often- much rather preferring the intimacy of lazy dates. 

- Steve absolutely adoring you two. Let’s be honest, he never thought he’d see the day when THE James Buchanan Barnes would fall in love and settle down.

-Dancing around the tower listening to his music.

-He really loves the idea of domestic things- he helps you cook, do dishes, you two have a system where you clean certain rooms and he cleans the others- he’s a sucker for the little things.

-The other avengers being simultaneously annoyed by your relationship, but too frightened of Bucky to say anything about it. 

-His kisses are usually soft and delicate, his emotions felt in every kiss.

-Him loving you from the moment he met you.

-Steve and Bucky are a package deal. If Bucky is away on a mission, you’ll notice Steve hanging around you more.

“How’s the weather?” The tall blonde asks from the doorway, his coffee cup resting in his hand. 

“..Rainy?” You look from the window to Steve- an awkward expression on his face. “Did Bucky tell you to keep an eye on me?”

He smirks, bringing the cup up to his face. “I don’t know what you’re talking about..” He turns and walks out of the room.

-Bucky proposing to you late at night while you cuddle in his bed. His fingers would be grazing the warmth skin of your arm, your heart beating against his side- and he knew he wanted all of his nights to be like that. The two of you intertwined, souls bare for only each other. 

-He would just say it so quietly and casually “marry me..” 

-You of course saying yes which would lead to both of you crying happily.

Having A Mutation and Liking Bucky Would Include...

I took my own twist on this. But basically the reader is the daughter of The Wolverine and her abilities are stemmed from her mutation. Hope you like it, lovely ❤️

-Being Logan’s daughter hadn’t been THE WORST thing in the world. You were born in 1919. When you were about 23 your father had left to fight the war and your mother had been slaughtered in front of you. The trauma triggered the mutation- which is eerily similar to your father’s except for the claws. 

-With absolutely no way to contact your father, you packed your bags and went on your own. 

-Brooklyn was homey, so you settled there. You were quiet, kept to yourself. You’ve already lost so many people that you couldn’t afford to get close to another. 

-You read the newspapers on how Stark managed to create a Super Soldier but you never thought that THE Captain America would be your neighbor. 

-Logan would always tell you how misunderstanding and cold people could be. Often he would say that people feared the unusual, and anything they didn’t understand was condemned.

-For this reason you only strolled the city at night. For you were much too aware of all the people on the bustling sidewalks in the daytime. Not to mention, part of your mutation allowed you to have heightened hearing and smell. You would notice your eyes would also get flecks of gold, like rich pools, whenever you’re feelings became too much. 

-That is how you met James Buchanan Barnes.

“What’s a beautiful young lady like yourself doing out on the streets of Brooklyn at such a late hour? Do you wish for trouble?” The smooth, charming voice sounded from behind you. 

Freezing in your spot, you pivot on your heel and turn to meet steely blues. Your eyes trail down to a polite smirk. He pops a curious, playful brow and you quickly meet his eyes once again.

“No trouble, I actively try to avoid it.” You explain shyly, the words dripping from your lips.

“As one should.” He retorts. “I’m Sergeant James Buchanan Barnes.”

“A man for his people.” You smile. “y/n m/n Howlett.” 

“May I walk with you?” He asks, already approaching with an outstretched arm. 

You take it in yours and walk under the inky black sky.

- When he walked you home he soon realized that as fate would have it, you two are neighbors.

-Bucky and you became practically inseparable after that. You had no intentions of gaining another connection, but you couldn’t control it.

-He would take you out in the mornings to his favorite cafe and that’s when he saw your eyes.. your fingers fidgeting with the cup and your teeth tugging at your lip. Too many heartbeats.. too much noise.. You stood abruptly and rushed out. 

“Darlin’!” Bucky calls after you. You ignore his words. “Wh-What was that?” You stop and turn. The most perplexed look on his face. 

“I’m a mutant.. That’s what my dad calls himself. I’m not quite sure what’s wrong with us-”

“There’s nothing the matter with you. Hell, you have what Steve got injected into him. You were born a hero!” He empathizes. 

- Bucky had to return to the war.. only this time he never came back. 

-Steve soon vanished too. 

-YEARS you had been on your own. You eventually met this guy named Xavier, he helped you find your father. He looked the same as he did 70 years ago.

- That is until 2011 when Steve was discovered to be alive. You had become part of the Avengers and the X-Men. having built quite a fearsome reputation.

-When Tony and Steve clashed, you made an oath to stay on Steve’s side. They said Bucky was alive. They said it and you’ve seen it on video clips..but you needed to see him. to hear his heartbeat. 

-Now was the moment you had been waiting for- excitement and dread flooded your body. Bucky stepped out of the car, a shiny metal arm a new addition to him. His steely blue eyes meet your own and you can’t hear the sound of his heart over yours.

“Y/n/n” his words hang in the air with disbelief and heartbreak.

- Clint Barton has an ego on him, that’s a fact. It’s also a fact that because of this ego he tends to be rather nonchalant and somewhat sarcastic.

- You two met during one of his missions. You were on a mission of your own and your paths collided causing you two to work together.

-That being said, Clint loved your independence and ferocious nature. He would find himself being somewhat distracted by your courage and stamina.

-He told Coulson about you.. Coulson told Fury. And the next thing you know you’re being asked to join SHIELD. (asked, forced, it’s all the same to Fury) 

-Throughout your time working there you and Barton were partnered together and were basically inseparable.

-HOWEVER you two didn’t officially become a couple until after the invasion on New York. You were so scared of losing him that you ended up confessing your feelings to him. And he was absolutely speechless, so he kissed you instead.

-The Avengers knowing you two are the ‘ride or die’ couple. Thor loving your relationship and Tony actually gagging over it.

-At first Natasha and you had a rivalry but somehow you two ended up talking late one night and it became a regular thing. Now you two are best friends.

-Clint kissing your nose and forehead simply because he can.

-You two not really being the “power couple” per se, but rather “the annoying duo that won’t shut up”. 

-Lots of late night cuddles... and day cuddles. 

-Surprisingly Clint can actually be quiet affectionate, especially when he feels threatened. 

-Like seriously.. Steve could just ask if you’re feeling alright and Clint is already puffing out his chest. One time Thor called you ‘my lady’ and Clint went on and on about how ‘Asgard is overrated’. 

-He complains. A lot.

-Also when you date Clint you’ll find that trouble seems to follow him..... Wade Wilson is over A LOT.

I can totally relate to this! I honestly have such bad eyesight that I fear I’ll go blind when I’m an old lady. 🤣 I chose to write for Peter because he’s absolutely adorable. And what’s better than someone who has extremely precise eyesight compared to someone who lacks it?

Pairings- Peter Parker x Rogers!Daughter Reader

Warnings- just some cursing and loss of glasses (they’re expensive.) Also, Steve Rogers daughter.

 “I’m sorry..” I apologize weakly, having bumped into a person. My books are pulled to my chest as I try to walk through the sea of blurry people. It’s funny how underappreciated glasses are until they get lost. 

When I get to my locker I can make out the silhouettes of Ned and Peter waiting for me. Pursing my lips together, I stop in front of Peter before frowning. 

“Why are you walking around like that chicken from Moana?” Ned asks. Peter frowns at him quickly whispering a ‘dude’. He sighs and grabs my books from my hands, putting in my combo and grabbing exactly what I need for PE.

Peter has always been the more compassionate one out of the two. And this definitely isn’t the first time I’ve lost my glasses. The two of us were on a mission last night- though I technically was supposed to stay inside and just give feedback, y’know the girl in the chair. However, things were getting a little intense on the battlefield, so I suited up and decided to help. That’s when things took a turn for the worst. 

First of all, battling with glasses is always a bad thing. And second, when your father is Captain America and gives you an order that you deliberately disobey, just as he would if it were him given the order, he gets rather upset. 

The whole time I’m trying to go unseen by him and for the most part I’m doing great. I’m dodging, blocking, figuring out the weak points- I’m doing great. All until I’m knocked right off my feet  y something that had been thrown on me. My glasses immediately broke on impact and Peter is laying on me - his mask eyes widening when he realized just what happened. 

“Y/n,” He gasps. “I’m so so so sorry!”

He stands to his feet and grabs a hold of my hands, pulling me to my feet. I sway, having to squint to even begin to make out my father making his way to me, shield in his clenched fist. 

“It’s been nice knowin’ ya.” I pat his shoulder and swallow hard. My dad pulls me against him, his shield against me for protection, and as he walks me back to the building he goes on and on about how irresponsibly reckless I had just been.

When we get to PE I don’t need my glasses to even know what’s on the screen.

“Hi, I’m Captain America-” I groan as the voice starts and Peter chuckles, slinging his shoulder around my arm.

Dating Loki Might Include...

-Loki is many things. Manipulative- yeah, his tongue is that of silver. He can honestly talk his way out of anything if given the chance. He is also a bit of an asshole. But a villain wouldn’t fit in Loki’s description. Sure he’s done some bad things but that doesn’t define home.

-He’s extremely misunderstood so whenever you met him you were absolutely 100% attracted to him. Thor said stay away from him so to you, that was an open invitation.

-Things between you two were quite melodramatic. You were expecting more drama since he literally almost destroyed an entire city twice. But honestly he was quite calm and confident. His face was buried in a book and when you sat down in front of him he raised a confused brow at you.

“Are you lost?” He questions somewhat sarcastically.

“Nope.” You pop the ‘p’ and shake your head. “Are you?”

“Perhaps.” He responds, eyes falling back to his book. Though you can tell he’s no longer reading.

-You made it a habit to go out of your way to visit him and he appreciated your time. He enjoyed your talks and was quite astonished to believe someone as kind as yourself would even want to speak to someone like him. Especially when Thor is your best friend.

-Your relationship had been just as unexpected as your friendship. He had admired you- every little thing about you. And one day he couldn’t contain his love anymore, he just blurted it out.

“I’m in love with you.” He admits, looking slightly panicked afterwards.

“What?” You blink, cheeks becoming rosy and heart quickening.

“Aha-“ he chuckles nervously. “I didn’t believe I’d fall in love with anyone ever but I’ve come to terms with the fact that I have. And I love you.”

You smile and step towards him, wrapping your arms around his waist. Your cheek rests against his chest as he places a soft, lingering kiss to he top of your head.

-PDA is something he doesn’t really like. He feels as if he has a persona to keep up with. You kind of enjoy letting people know that you’re the one person he’s gone soft for.

-Lots of makeout sessions when he gets jealous. Usually at the end of the day if Loki notices that you’ve been hanging out with Thor more than him, he likes to remind you who is who.

-Cuddling isn’t something he’s into but if you ask he’ll do it.

-Wanting to train you as an Asgardian warrior to ensure your safety. He’d even help you learn some sorcery if you’d ever need it.

-Discussing the future but it’s honestly a topic that scares him. Commitment in general scares Loki so he needs time to adjust to everything. You’re not quite sure if he’d be able to adjust to the idea of being a parent.

-He wants to be a dad more than he wants to be a ruler.

-Lets get one thing clear, Steve Rogers is anything BUT innocent. Sure, he has absolutely no idea what’s going on in this new world but he also breaks the law on a daily basis, picks fights with Tony Stark whenever he’s in a pissy mood, and honestly whenever he is quiet it’s just because he’s eavesdropping for any information he might’ve missed out on.

-This being said you two met through the Avengers Initiative. As soon as he saw you punch Tony in the jaw, he knew you were the one. I mean, only a woman with integrity would punch a billionaire playboy.

-Steve was never really shy to talk to you. He thought he would be, but with you everything came easily. If he needed to talk about something of the past he knew he could go to. Even with Peggy. You actually encouraged him to see her while she was still her and you helped him when he mourned. Every step of the way you were there.

-You two have kinda become that “assumed to be a couple but haven’t actually established anything” thing going on. This often leads to a lot of confusion between the two of you. Eventually, however, Steve cleared things up.

“So..” Steve shifts his weight from the tips of his toes to the flat of his feet. His hands buried in his pockets. Standing next to you, he bores his ocean blue eyes into yours.

“Soo..” you suck in a breath, your eyes searching his face. “What’s up, Stevie?”

“I was wondering if maybe you’d like to court me?” He speaks quickly. Then he continues, “I just mean we work so well together! You can say no, you definitely don’t have to. I understand if you wouldn’t-“

“I wouldn’t.” You say. “Who would say no to being in a relationship with you, Steve? You’re kindhearted and compassionate. You fight not for yourself but for others. You’ve got a good heart, Brooklyn.”

-NICKNAMES. He likes to call you sweetheart and doll. Occasionally he’ll call you sweet cheeks but that’s rare. You’ll call him Stevie, babe, and Brooklyn. Captain is reserved for the bedroom.

-He tries his best to make sure things don’t overwhelm you. For example; you guys usually train together. He knows you’re not fragile but he also acknowledges the fact that you’re not a super soldier. So he likes to keep an eye out. Same thing if you’re in a crowd and you begin to get anxiety. Steve will go to you, grab ahold of your hand, and gently brush his thumb over the soft of your skin to keep you grounded.

-Cuddling is something you two do quite often to be honest. He likes the feeling of holding you and being held by you. It keeps him feeling safe and loved.

-Assuring him that he’s so much more than JUST Captain America. And that the weight of the world shouldn’t fall on his shoulders.

-Lots of forehead and nose kisses. He’s taller than you and he quite enjoys placing kisses on your face.

-Lazy dates in your pajamas. Sometimes he likes to go on walks through Brooklyn to see how things changed. He’ll tell you stories from when he was younger and a lot of them consist of “I got beat up in that alley-“ or “I got knocked out behind that bakery.” And “Bucky once beat someone up for punching me over by that building. It used to be our school but obviously it’s not anymore.”

-Being best friends with Bucky. It honestly slightly freaks Steve out because Bucky has always been the one to get the girl. Now he has the most beautiful girl and he’s scared of losing her.

-JEALOUS. Steve will never admit it, but he gets pretty jealous. Especially when Tony and Thor can’t keep their comments and arrogant smirks to themselves.

-Discussing the possibilities of your future together. Whether or not once you get married if you’ll have kids and be like the incredibles or if it’d be selfish to bring kids into the world when it’d be so hard to keep them safe.
