Reminder, I leaked the sketch of the new manga chapter four months ago.

ryoga cried when his mom passed. like it was a good hard cry. and he cried in the days leading up to her death too. he is not good at expressing emotion but his mother is the one person he felt comfortable being completely honest with and not once in his life has she ever made fun of him for "not expressing emotion right" or "not being able to articulate himself properly". she was his biggest supporter, and in the end, thats something that he lost. :( so after she died he didnt really cry, ever again. he felt like all his tears dried up crying over her when she passed on. he still thinks of her. but he cant bring himself to cry anymore. half because he KNOWS if someone else saw him crying, he would be treated differently, like a weak animal. half because he feels like theres no point. crying wont bring her back, and he needs to say strong for her.

What break my heart even more, after Ryoga's mom death he had nothing. No relatives, no friends, no safe place to go, no meaning or point in life. 19-years old boy were left completely alone in the world that doesn't like him with huge guilt of who Ryoga is. No wonder how he ended up gunman in yakuza. Mafia usually seek for people in need and in despair, with little to no connection with real world, so those would be loyal soldiers. And Ryoga was self disappointed strong outcast, who nobody would look for if he dies.
