Lovely, truly fascinating paintings of famous artists studios by British born and Santa Monica / Colombia based artist Damian Elwes.

Damian says of his work: “Instead of going to art school, I spent two years in Paris searching for artist studios to make paintings of. I could barely speak French and so all I knew about those artists was from looking at their belongings. Picasso once said that the way artists place their things tells you as much about those artists as their paintings do.”
