Marshmalling hair

these are as true to color as I can get my hair to look in photos lol. I promise its a little more green in real life! either way i love it. (Enchanted Forest by Manic Panic).

Today I woke up at 5:30 AM (after having gone to sleep about 2:30, because hair dye and nails) and got super dolled up to meet jennythetimetravelingpirate at Fort Monroe to do a photo shoot.

Jenny is a professional and has to edit the pictures and everything so I haven’t seen them yet, but she says they’re good. But, since I was all dolled up I made tmntrules take pictures of me at breakfast.

products: ultra violet manic panic, hot hot pink manic panic, punky color turquoise (order here)

tools: someone else (optional), generic conditioner, foil, bowl and utensil for mixing (i used empty jelly cups—jelly’s great), clips, gloves (optional if you don’t want to get your hands stained)

how-to:  1) Make sure your hair has been washed and dried well. The wetter your hair during application, the less dye is able to seep in. Protect your shirt by wearing a small towel around your shoulders.

2) Mix your dye and conditioner in separate bowls. Using the lightest dye, just pick out random locks and start applying. Wrap the locks in foil and clip them in case the foil won’t hold. There’s a small risk of the dyes blending when you wash them, but mine didn’t, so you’re probably safe.

3) Wait for the dye to set in (the time should be written on the instructions on the pack). I usually wait another 1-2 hours though.
