Artemis: Sooo…Did you get everything you wanted for Christmas?

Wally: You kidding? If the apocalypse happens anytime soon, I’m certainly not going to starve.

Artemis: Haha! Yeah…You can thank M’gann for that. No one was sure what they should get you.

Wally: Hey. I love food. I have no objections.

Artemis: Good. I’m glad to hear that.

Wally: What about you?

(Artemis leans over and kisses Wally)

Artemis: I have you back. What else could I possibly want?

Wally: Babe. I love you.

Artemis: I love you too Wally.

(Dick knocks on the door)

Dick: Can I come in?

Wally: Yeah.

Dick: Am I interrupting anything?

Artemis: Dick. You are always interrupting something.

Dick: Ok. Ok. I know when I’m not wanted.

Wally: Come on dude. What did you want?

Dick: Well, I just wanted to let you two know that we are having a going away party and thought you might want to join the group. After all, it is for you Wally.

Wally: Oh! Yeah. About that. Uhh… I’m not sure I will be going back.

Artemis: What?! Wally? Why?

Dick: But dude?! I thought you liked Harvard?

Wally: I do! It’s just, well, I don’t want to leave again. It’s too hard! And, I can’t leave you Artemis.

Artemis: Wally. That’s so sweet. But, your education is important. And I can come visit you.

Wally: I know that Artemis, but I’d rather be here with you. Besides, I can stay and go to a different college. Somewhere in Palo Alto. With you. Just like we planned.

Artemis: Wally, whatever you decide to do, I’ll gladly be there by your side. As long as what you choose makes you happy. Ok?

(Wally then smiles at Artemis and give her a hug)

Wally: Thanks babe.

Dick: Awesome! Well, while you are deciding, I’m gonna go. See ya!

Artemis: Bye. Wally? Are you sure about this?

Wally: Yeah. I’m positive.

Artemis: Well then let’s go to your coming home party!

(Kaldur, Dick, and Conner then help Wally put his bags in his room at Mount Justice)

Kaldur: So Wally. How does it feel to be back?

Wally: Honestly. Really strange. But it is nice.

Dick: Yeah well, it felt weird having you gone for so long.

Wally: So you guys really missed me, hmm?

Dick: Just a little.

Wally: Hahaha! Sure! I’m not that easily forgotten.

Conner: You can say that again.

(M’gann knocks on the door)

M’gann: Time to start the party! Are you boys ready?

Wally: Totally!!

Dick: Let’s go!

(Wally, Kaldur, Dick, and Conner all make their way to the kitchen where they find Zatanna and Artemis helping M’gann set the table)

Wally: Holy Smokes! Look at all this yummy food!

Artemis: I see you haven’t changed

Wally: Artemis! Hey!

Artemis: Hi Wally. It’s great to see you!

Wally: Same here!

M’gann: Ok! Everyone grab a chair!

(As everyone begins sitting down, Wally and Dick decide to sit together with Artemis next to Dick)

Dick: Wally?

Wally: Yeah dude?

Dick: Do you think you could maybe switch seats with me?

Wally: Why?

Dick: Well, you know how much I love M’gann’s mashed potatoes. And, well, I want to be as close as I can to them.

Wally: Seriously Dude?

Dick: Please?

Wally: “Sigh” Fine!

(Immediately Wally finds himself next Artemis)

Artemis: Oh! Hi again.

Wally: Heh. Hi. Dick wanted to be close to the mashed potatoes, so he made me switch seats with him.

Artemis: Oh. Interesting.

Wally: Yeah.

(As everyone is talking and eating, Wally finds himself just listening to their conversations for a change)

Kaldur: I love the snow as well, Richard.

M’gann: Me too! I always enjoy making snow aliens! What about you Conner?

Conner: The snow’s ok, I guess. I prefer swimming.

Artemis: Haha! I can’t believe I just heard you say that!

Zatanna: Snow is great, but I agree with Conner. Swimmer is so much better. I can’t wait for the warmer weather to come back! We should all plan a trip to the beach when it warms up!

Artemis: That sounds fun! I’m not much of a swimmer, but a good book on a warm, sunny day is always great.

Dick: Uuuuh! A book?! No, no. A good volleyball tournament is my style!

(As Wally continues to listen to all his friends share their different opinions and laugh, he begins to miss life as a kid)

M’gann: Hahaha! Oh Conner! Hey? Wally? Are you ok? You seem down.

Wally: Huh? Oh! No. I’m fine. Just listening to the conversation.

Dick: Listening? Man! Harvard must be a good school if it can get you to actually start listening!

Wally: Haha! Very funny!

Kaldur: This meal was wonderful girls! Thank you!

M’gann: Of course! I’m so glad you enjoyed it!

Wally: Yeah! It was great! Just like old times!

(As the girls finish cleaning the dinner table, Wally decides to tour the Mountain. As he looks around, he begins reminiscing all the good times he had with the group)

(After Artemis finishes helping M’gann with the dishes, she decides to go change into her pajamas. While walking to her room, Artemis notices Wally looking at an old picture of the team)

Artemis: Hey? Are you alright?

Wally: Oh?! Artemis? I didn’t know you were there.

Artemis: Sorry. Did I scare you?

Wally: Scare me? Haha! No! Of course not!

Artemis: Wally?

Wally: I was just walking down memory lane.

Artemis: Those were some good times.

Wally: Makes you want to go back. Doesn’t it?

Artemis: Sometimes. Wally? You were so quiet during dinner. Are you sure you’re ok?

Wally: No Artemis. I’m not ok. Coming back to Mount Justice and seeing all of you guys, well, it makes me sad. I miss being here. I feel like I made so many mistakes. And now, I can’t go back.

Artemis: What mistakes Wally?

Wally: Like going to Harvard, leaving the Young Justice League, and…leaving you.

Artemis: Wally. I…

Wally: Artemis. I’m so sorry. I said so many horrible things to you! I hurt you. I never want to do that again. Please, Artemis. Please forgive me.

Artemis: Wally, everything you said, you were right about. I was so afraid that if you left, you would find someone else or we would grow apart. And because of that, I ended up destroying our relationship. I was selfish. I’m so sorry.

Wally: Artemis.

Wally: Thanks for coming with me to the airport Ridley! You really didn’t have to.

Ridley: You kidding! We’re friends and you deserve a proper Christmas goodbye.

Wally: Thanks again, but I’m coming back in two weeks.

Ridley: I know. It’s gonna feel like two years though.

Wally: Really?

(Immediately Ridley leans close to Wally and gives him a kiss)

Wally: Oh…Uh…I didn’t realize that…

Ridley: Sorry. I just couldn’t let you leave before…

Wally: Before kissing me?

Ridley: Heh. Yeah. I’m sorry. You don’t feel the same way though, do you?

Wally: No. It’s not that. It’s just that, “sigh.” Before I came here, my girlfriend and I broke up. We were really close, and this just doesn’t feel right.

Ridley: Oh! I see. Well, whoever she is, she sure was foolish to let you go.

Wally: Thanks Ridley. But actually, I’m the fool. I never should’ve let her go. If only I was a better boyfriend.

Ridley: Better boyfriend!? Wally! Everyone makes mistakes and if she can’t understand that, then she definitely shouldn’t have a boyfriend!

Wally: Yeah. I suppose you’re right.

Intercom: Now boarding for Gotham City, New Jersey.

Wally: Well, that’s my ride!

Ridley: Bye Wally!! Have a good Christmas!!

Wally: Thanks!! You too!

(Minutes after the plane lands and Wally starts walking off the plane)

Dick: Hey! Dude!

Kaldur: Wally!

M’gann: Hi Wally!

Zatanna: Hey Wally!

Mrs. West: Honey!

Mr. West: Son!

Wally: Guys! Mom! Pop! It’s so good to see all of you!

Dick: Get over here Dude!

(Wally walks up to the group and everyone gives him a huge hug)

Wally: Woah! Man! This is great! But where’s Conner and Artemis?

M’gann: Conner is helping Captain Marvel with the decorations. They were struggling, so we left quickly!

Wally: Hahaha! And Artemis?

Zatanna: She got caught up with family.

Wally: What? Is she ok?!

Dick: Calm down dude. All is good. Let’s just say that Will and Jade needed a babysitter. And with her mom wrapping presents, Jade felt that Mrs. Crock would need help watching Lian.

Wally: I get it. (Irritated)

M’gann: You should know though that Artemis really wanted to be here. She was really bummed about the whole thing.

Mr. West: Well, we better get you back in time for the Christmas party!

Wally: Right on!

Dick: Hey Babs! Miss me?

Barbara: Oh! Hi Richard! No. Not really? (Sarcastically)

Dick: Ha Ha. Very funny. So. Where is everyone?

Barbara: Well, M’gann and Conner went out to dinner, Kaldur had to speak with Batman about something, and Zatanna took Artemis to the mall. I don’t know why though. Artemis hates the mall.

Dick: Hmm. Maybe she changed her mind.

Barbara: Ha! Yeah! And maybe Joker decided to reform.

Dick: Ok! Ok! I see your point. Well, then maybe Z is just trying to cheer her up. After all, it’s clear Artemis still has a thing for Wally, and vice versa.

Barbara: Z huh?

Dick: What? Everyone calls Zatanna “Z.”

Barbara: No Richard, M’gann and Artemis call Zatanna “Z.” Everyone else just calls her Zatanna.

Dick: Alright! Boy are you picky today!

Barbara: Am not!

Dick: Are too!

Artemis: Would you two knock it off! (While walking in the lounging room)

Barbara: Artemis? I thought you were at the mall?

Artemis: I was, but I finished my yogurt.

Dick: Where’s “annunciated” Zatanna?

“Barbara quickly acknowledges Richard’s sarcasm and rolls her eyes”

Artemis: I saw her go into “Magicians Intuition” and I knew I wouldn’t see her for the rest of the night, so I left.

Barbara: You must be so bored with Wally gone. Oops! I mean…

Dick: Nice one Barbs!

Barbara: I’m sorry Artemis. I didn’t mean to…

Artemis: Guys! It’s ok. Really! I’m fine without Wally. Besides! I’m a strong, independent woman! I don’t need Wally to be happy!

Dick: Ouch!

Barbara: Oh believe me Artemis. We know that. It’s just that you two were together for so long and well, now you’re not. So it’s completely normal to feel a little depressed.

Artemis: Thanks for the counseling session Barbara, but I already have M’gann and Canary following me around practically begging me to sit down and open up to them. Well, spoiler alert! I don’t need advice or help or whatever! And I certainly don’t need Wally! I do just fine on my own! Now if you don’t mind, I’m going home!

(Artemis immediately grabs her coat and leaves the Mountain)

Dick: Yikes! That went well.

Barbara: “Sigh” yeah, really well.

Dick: Hey. Don’t feel too bad Babs. Artemis has always had a hard time expressing herself. She just needs some time.

Barbara: You’re probably right.

Dick: Of course I’m right babe!

Barbara: Babe? (Looking at Richard romantically)

Dick: Uh! I mean Babs.

Barbara: That’s not what you said.

Dick: Hey, I human. I make mistakes. Well, I better go. Old Bats is probably missing me.

(Dick quickly leaves Mount Justice, heading towards the Batcave)

“Wally thinking”: Wow! I can’t believe I’m already here! This is so crash!

(The plane has landed and everyone departs into the airport)

“Wally thinking”: Ok. Now I need to get a taxi. But first, snack time! Oooh! Let’s get a hoagie!

(Wally realizes the sandwich shop is closed)

Wally: Closed?! What?! Ok. Fine. Let’s get a bagel at the barista shop.

(Wally notices the line is super long)

Wally: Seriously! Uuuh! Nevermind. I’ll get something later.

(Wally then walks outside the airport onto the sidewalk)

Wally: Hey! Taxi! Wait! Wait!

(Wally yells as his taxi drives away with the wrong person)

Wally: Awww man! I don’t have any luck.

(Suddenly, a beautiful, Brazilian women with long, bleached blond hair, brunette roots, and green eyes walks up)

Ridley: Oh! Do you need a ride?

Wally: Huh! Oh! hi! Yeah. That guy took my taxi.

Ridley: (Giggling) You will find that happens a lot here.

Wally: Right…anything else I should’ve know before coming here?

Ridley: Well…as a matter of fact, yes! Let’s see. Don’t go down dark alleys, don’t take candy from strangers, and…oh! Don’t chew gum from under the park benches.

Wally: Hahaha! Wow! I’ll certainly survive now!

Ridley: So! You need a ride, right?

Wally: Yeah.

Ridley: I have an Uber waiting! Come on! You can ride with me!

Wally: Aren’t Ubers dangerous?

Ridley: No more than a taxi. Where are you going?

Wally: Harvard University.

Ridley: Wow! How awesome!

Wally: What about you?

Ridley: Uuum…a friends house.

Wally: Cool! They must be a pretty good friend for you to have to fly to visit them.

Ridley: Oh yeah! Definitely. Oh! Driver!

(Wally and Ridley leave the airport in the Uber and soon arrive at the college)

Ridley: We’re here! Wow! It’s so big!

(Wally nervously grips his coat on his lap)

Ridley: Are you nervous?

Wally: Just a bit. This is all so new to me. Leaving family and friends. Going to a huge college. Living in another state.

Ridley: Hey. It’s gonna be ok. I’ll come visit you everyday if you want? I’ll show you all the major hotspots.

Wally: That would be great! Thanks a lot Ridley!

Ridley: Sure!

(Wally gets out of the Uber and gets his luggage from the trunk)

Ridley: See you later, alligator!

(Wally looks back and waves goodbye)

Wally: Oh mom, pop, I’m gonna miss you guys too!

(Wally gives his parents a big hug)

Mrs. West: Oh honey.

(Mrs.West says, trying to hold back tears)

Wally: Don’t cry mom. I’ll be back for Thanksgiving!

Mr. West: Believe us son, we know.

(Dick honked the car horn for Wally to come)

Wally: That’s Richard! It’s time to go!

Mrs. West: I hope Richard knows how much we appreciate him taking you to the airport.

Wally: I’m sure he does. He knows you both have jobs that never let you take any time off.

Mr. West: Oh boy. Don’t change son. Ok.

Wally: Hahaha! Never pop!

(Dick honks the car horn again)

Wally: Alright! I really need to go now!

Mr. & Mrs. West: Bye!! Be safe!!

(Wally gets in the car)

Dick: Said your goodbyes?

Wally: You’re not very sensitive!

Dick: Sorry…Hey? You ok?

Wally: Yeah. Just, you know, excited.

Dick: And nervous?

Wally: A bit.

Dick: Well! We’re off!

(Wally and Dick arrive at the airport, get signed in and head towards security check)

Kaldur, Conner, M’gann, and Zatanna: Surprise!!

Wally: Whaaat! Awww! Guys, you really shouldn’t have!

M’gann: How could we let you leave without saying goodbye?!

Wally: Well, I sort off said goodbye at the Mountain.

Kaldur: But you know that wasn’t enough for us.

Wally: Artemis couldn’t make it?

Zatanna: She felt it was best to say goodbye only once, given the circumstances.

Wally: Oh.

Intercom: Cambridge, Massachusetts boarding now.

Wally: Woah! I better go guys! Thanks so much! This means a lot!

Everyone: Goodbye!! Come back soon!!!

Wally: Ok! I will!
